Are all iPod physical interfaces the same? My wife's new car has a special plug for iPods; not sure which versions will work.
No, certain model iPods have different physical interfaces. For example, the latest gen iPod nano won't be using the same cable as the 4th gen iPod video. You're going to want to look online to figure it out.

I purchased the two-year warranty for my PS3 at Best Buy when it was the bigger 80GB model- if my PS3 were to quit working, would they allow me to get a new PS3 Slim with the warranty?

I don't know for sure, but that is how warranties work with printers at officemax, insofar as the price is the same. Except they don't check to see if your printer is really broken.

I believe the name of the film is Angels with Filthy Souls, and yes, it was made specifically for the movie Home Alone.

Can anybody help LegendOfGood here and improve this .gif? We'll need the source file, if you have it. It has so much potential but sucks so bad.

Probably if you pay the difference (if any). Would you be willing to lose BC though?

It's actually the 80GB model without BC. I don't think I would have to pay the difference since I paid more for it then what the slim costs. My only concern would be if they had some kind of restriction on me using my warranty to get the "newer", "updated" Slim.

Exactly what sucks so bad about my .gif? Too grainy? Yeah, well, I don't have good program to work with. I pieced it together frame by frame with Flash. :(

Oh the animation is fantastic, although I would have it reverse-loop instead of starting over. The grain blows, though. And she is SOFA KING HOTT that she deserves a bit better. I just initiated the process. Do you have the source?

Unfortunately, no. I took it frame by frame from an .avi of that episode of the Office.

I guess I still have the .avi, but it's a large file and is not split for that one second piece.

I just realised that when I save an image from Firefox it opens up the download window thing and redownloads the file. I'm pretty sure it used to just copy the file into your chosen destination from the cache or whatever. Is there anyway I can make it do that again, or am I just crazy and this is how it's always worked?

Someone has imposed restrictions on my GAF account.

I can no longer create threads. Can someone explain why that is, considering my threads of late have been civil and well-received? If it's because of my "other" threads, then know I've already been banned for some of the individual ones as well as, recently, for all of them in total.

Double jeopardy, I say!

That's what happens when you cross over to the wrong side of the forum.

I caught the tail end of Craig Ferguson last night and saw Glenn Hansard was on. What song was he playing?

edit - nvm, found it.

I've never tried sake before. Any recommendations on a decent cheap sake that could be easily obtained in the US?

Gekkeikan is at pretty much every grocery store and it's like $6 or something for a bottle.

I have a question about college.

I went to community college and got my associates degree. I graduated with a 3.2, pretty shitty but I was dumb.

I'm now at my second quarter at a real university. I'm keeping a steady pace of 3.5-4.0 in my classes.

When I apply for a graduate or law school, will they look at my community college grades? How much will they hold me back?

When you buy a gun and ammunition at a gun shop, how does the gun shop make sure you won't load your new gun and rob the place?
It's a risk wacko bible-belt Republicans are willing to take.

I have a question for people who drive cars with manual gear shifts.

Suppose you're in 3rd gear, cruising along at 35 mph, and there's a traffic light coming up. What is the sequence of events before you come to a stop? Do you brake while being in gear, or do you get out of gear, and then brake? I always wonder what the best way to do this is.

Just put it into neutral then stop, or push the clutch in and then brake. If you stop and just leave it in third, the car will stall. You don't even have to put the clutch in to put the car in neutral though, it's really simple

Lets say I have a first cousin (his dad is my dad's brother), and that cousin has a son. What is that son to me? In Mexico, we just say he's my nephew, but I'm not sure if it's different in the U.S.

A demon-possessed dude did it in an episode of 'Supernatural'. Didn't rob the place. Just took the rifle, loaded it with some ammunition the (remarkably stupid, it must be said) owner handed him, and shot the guy in the head.

EDIT - Not sure if he was demon-ed, or if it was some other wacky shit.

Wait, what? That doesn't seem right.

The 30-pin dock connector interface should be the same on every iPod. There were two changes that happened over time to the cable interface:

1) Original iPods connected via FireWire. The migration to sync via USB happened a long time ago, though.

2) Somewhat more recently, the charging spec changed so that older accessories would not charge newer iPods. However, the sync aspects of the connection didn't change.

So, I'd be stunned if the iPod connector in the car didn't work for his iPod. The only question is whether it would play music and charge, or just play music.

When you're going to post a reply, there is section called Miscellaneous Options section that has an option to "Automatically parse links in text." What exactly does this mean?

Maybe I got that incorrect. I recall trying to get my iPod plugged into a friends car and it didn't connect. Guess I got it wrong?
Edit: Okay, got this wrong. Disregard my original post.

I'm not sure I'd risk trying to rob some guy with like 1000 guns at their reach. :lol

Does it really only take 9 pounds of pressure to break a nose?
Well there is no bone in your nose so it seems like it could be true. Probably depends on where the pressure is of course.

Or you could shift down and save the brakes, that's what I do.

What would be a good site to visit to try to find out what song is stuck in my head? It is a classic rock song I've heard plenty of times, but not recently. I tried Pandora but you can only skip ahead of a certain number of songs each hour. Listening to the radio now, but that is a HUGE crapshoot :lol

If you know even a tiny bit of the lyrics put them into google.

Has helped me before in the past. Not sure how accurate it is though. Seems it finds mainstream songs a lot easier than others.

Stay in gear and brake, clutch down just before you stop. Shouldn't coast in neutral, much safer to stay in gear in case you need to start accelerating again or whatever.
