Driving with your left foot... do people do it on automatic vehicles?

Here in Canada we drive on the right side of the road, meaning that the driver's seat is on the left side of the vehicle. Based on the design of a car interior, you pretty much have to drive w/ just your right foot.

Is it even at all possible to drive with your left foot? I figure the right foot would get in the way, since there's no place you can really keep it stowed away.

In Britain, does everybody drive with their left foot? Are the petals inverted to allow you to drive with your right foot?

I dont do it, but I could easily drive with the right foot on the acceleration and left on the brake.

What are those bell/disk things on tambourines called?

From wikipedia: The tambourine or Marine (commonly called Tambo) is a musical instrument of the percussion family consisting of a frame, often of wood or plastic, with pairs of small metal jingles, called "zils".

Never knew that!

Why the hell didn't I check wikipedia? That's an interesting name. Thanks.

Uh, I'm in Australia where we drive on the left, and the pedals are on the right side of the floor. We drive with our right foot.

Why do boxing/mma/kickboxing/ect make the clock go away during the final 10 seconds of each round? The 10 second warning sound is made, and then BOOM the clock is gone. WWWWHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

New question! Is it at all possible to write tv shows from itunes onto a disc? I want to watch AD on my TV, but don't want to have buy a season disc set or anything.

Not sure, but I thought it was cuz the clock graphic isn't always synced exactly to the real clock. It seems like it's often off slightly.

In Britain our 'GO' pedal is on the right, I don't think there would be any point in switching the pedals just because you're driving on the opposite side of the road. 99% of cars here are manual and you need your left foot for the clutch, so you couldn't use your left foot for driving.

Windows 7 Question.
I really love how you can snap things to either the left of right side so it takes up 1/2 the screen. If you have 2 windows, one left and one right, is there any way to re-size both at the same time i.e. like changing column size in excel or iTunes or whatever?

I have had the internet for a bit over a year now and I discovered some awesome sites like this one for example but always wondered what if there are other cool sites out there I am missing/could be part of etc? not much of a question just want opinions.

This s a question for Islamic-Age.

Considering your not allowed to touch Alcohol. How do you deal with the fact that most cosmetics / medicines like spot gels ect contain alcohol - which by it's use, must make it's way into the bloodstream?

A business partner of mine just asked me to send him a "bio". What, exactly, is a bio? Did he mean resume? Does he want me to type up a little paragraph about myself, or what?

When alphabetically ordering things when it comes to something like "La Dispute" and "Ladyhawke" which should come first?

It depends. When sorting other songs/artists/etc, do you normally include leading articles in your alphabetization? Would "The Cars" be filed under T or C? Or you might just throw all that out the window and include abnormal leading articles in the actual name of the grouping. Ultimately, it's your call. Just like capitalizing "and", "the", "of", etc., in song titles. There's no standardized way to to it, so in the end, it's up to you.

It's like a rundown. Just keep it simple. Fax it to your dad if you're not sure.

I bought my fiancee and iPod for christmas and am sending it to her. I loaded it up with a couple gigs worth of songs and made playlists for her and everything.
When she installs iTunes on her computer and hooks up the iPod and syncs it, it will wipe her iPod though, right? Clear out all the music because the iTunes library it is trying to sync with is empty?
I do know how to grab the music off the iPod and get it into a library (had to go into the iPod in My Computer and do it earlier). What can I tell her to do to prevent losing all the music I put on there for her?

The past week has been the extent of my iTunes-using experience and I fucking hate it...

Change the ipod from auto-sync to manual in itunes.
[E] Also, you will need to put the music on the ipod when it's set at manual.

Okay. But when she goes to add music to it and it eventually syncs, it's not going to clear it all out then?
Added for a new page. Her package got there and this weekend I told her I would walk her through the installation of iTunes and everything. I'm going to need to help her with it because eventually the charge is going to be gone and she won't be able to use it. I wanted to get her a wall charger, but they are so goddamn expensive and surely she can find one on the cheap in the Philippines.
The iPod is set to manual, taken off of auto-sync. But when she starts adding music, won't it sync then? I was thinking maybe she would need to go into the iPod on My Computer and go into the hidden files, copy the music, and then import it all into iTunes.
Or since it is in manual, is it fine to hook up to iTunes and put music on whenever now without worrying about what is on the player?

From my experience, it's the second one. iPods already set to manual mode are fine. It's those that are set to auto-sync that are the problem, as they sync with whatever library they're connected to. You (or she) should be fine.

Can someone explain to me why after a few months of buying my PC the fans are louder? I've cleaned out my PC of dust, the CPU usage is fine...

I only do it for the word "The", but I think I'm just going to put the space after the ones with the full word. Thanks though.

Also, in terms of CPUs, what's the best way to dust the inside of your desktop? Pull everything out and go from there?

With Itunes, you place albums from it onto the Ipod.

Is there a program, which allows you to place albums from your Ipod into the program, which you can then edit and place back onto the Ipod?

I move around a lot and having Itunes on just 1 computer is impossible.

You can do that from iTunes. You can't really transfer your songs on the ipod to itunes, but you can manipulate and edit those songs from itunes. Since you want to connect it to multiple computers, you might now want to set your ipod to automatic sync. When you have it plugged it, make sure the name of your ipod is clicked. The screen should show the image of your device and the bar on the bottom that shows the space used so far. You might have to click around on the screen, but I think there's an option on the bottom that says "Manually manage music." Click that and from then on it won't sync with itunes and accidentally delete your songs if you connect it to others' computers. You'll have to drag and drop new songs onto the ipod on the left side. If you want to edit the songs on the ipod. The left side allows you to access the music library that's on the ipod and from there you can edit the titles, artists, etc. So you can't transfer the albums from the ipod to iTunes edit and then return, but you can edit the albums directly from the ipod.

I'm not sure if that's exactly what you were asking and I'm mainly writing this from memory, but I'm sure if you click around you can see how it can be done.

Do you have an iPod Touch or a regular iPod? If it's a regular iPod, Floola should be able to copy the music off the device. If it's a touch, I think you're out of luck.

My dad drives with his left foot now. His turns are wider, but I dunno if that is due to using his left instead of right.

What is the purpose of the small, white plastic piece that comes with iPods ?

Can someone please help me shrink this gif's file size so I can use it as a profile pic, even if some frames are cut out, any attempt would be appreciated.

NeoGaf forum question...

So, is there something I need to do specifically to become a member, or just wait? I know the FAQ says I have to "Post 200 replies, AND be a Junior Member for 60 days".

I know I've met both criteria, so do I just wait, or do I have to actually do something?

Does Japan still have cell phones that are way more advanced than anything available in the West? Or has the rest of the world caught up with the Droid/N900/iPhone/etc.?
