Why do people with big SUVs and trucks park in the compact stalls when there are plenty of regular stalls open? I got into work a little early this morning and most of structure was still empty, but a lot of the compact stalls were already taken by huge vehicles.
The compact stalls are in the same area as the regular stalls (just across the lane), and they are really small. I don't even park my economy sedan in them because I'll come right up to the line. They're really made for minis.
By 9 am, all the stalls are taken, and I know people will park within inches of each other in the compact stalls, in large part because so many non-compact cars park there. People will jam in anyway, because there's no other option. If you came early enough to choose a stall, I can't understand why anyone would take a compact, especially if you have a plus-sized vehicle.
It doesn't really upset me, because I come early enough to get a regular stall, but I don't understand it at all.
