I've been cleaning around my room, when I found something odd in my closet. It was a thin piece of paper which had been painted over on the side of the wall. It must have been there for years, since the room's been painted over several times in my lifetime. I peeled it away to find this weird sticker. It has four identical images of this kid holding a skateboard, with the words "Buddy Boys" going across the bottom of it. Very 80s looking. My sister used to live in this room, and I assume it was her's. I'm kind of curious about the source. Clothing company? Kids magazine? Does this ring a bell to anybody?

Doctor Gaf: It feels like the muscle underneath my scapula has sprouted a jagged rusty knife and is stabbing me anytime I move or breathe. When pain first appeared a couple of days ago, I thought it was just a pulled muscle, so I stretched and heated. Now it's much much worse. The doc's off on March Break.

I've been looking for a thread for a while figured this would be the best place to ask. It's a thread about sharing scary stories, it's not the unsolved/paranormal thread. Was looking to send some of the stories to a friend, because regardless if true or not, some of them are scary as hell.

I think it's worse to cancel it, yes. At least with a card active, you're showing a payment history.

I have one regarding the google search: does it limit how far back you can search? I'm trying to find a thread I made on Dec 28, 2005 that was either titled "how do you deal with the loss of a parent?" or "how do you deal with the death of a parent?", and it's not bringing up anything remotely close. I've tried a bunch of different combinations of the thread title with my username, etc. Nothing. Anyone know of a helpful tip?

Same with my iPod. I leave it on the charger for a couple of hours a few times, and it's got terrible battery life now.

Anyway, my question: I was trying my hand at making some animated gifs with virtualdub. With widescreen film/tv clips, they're a lot wider than they need to be. Is there a tool or method people use to crop the sides of the movie clip to just the part they want? Say, for example if it's a person next to a tree and you just want the person in the .gif

What's the word for something that puts you to sleep? For some reason I'm under the impression that it sounded something like the word afrodisiac but obvioiusly wasn't that actual word.

I don't think this is a stupid question, but more of a "I'm a fucking junior and can't post threads yet and I need to ask something".
I've been seeing this girl for about a month now, things are going very well and she's spending every night at my place. I'm Puerto Rican and she's half-black / half-Puerto Rican, but looks mostly black.
I'm friends with a bunch of Puerto Ricans here in North Dakota, and we get together every so often. The problem is, a lot of them are racist against blacks; it's a thing I saw a lot on the island and an attitude that they've brought up here to the states. I usually don't care about this too much, and have brought her to our parties and stuff... although she usually gets ignored by my friends.
There is another party going on tonight, and she was hesitant to go with me because she says she gets bored quickly because no one talks to her (besides me of course). She told me that she is willing to go to the party under the condition that her friend, who is also black, goes with her. I said "sure".
My dilemma is... ever since I started bringing her to parties I noticed my friends' attitude towards me changed a bit. Like I get this feeling they view me somehow as "less" of a man/Puerto Rican/whatever for dating a black woman. Now I feel that if I bring her and her friend today, we are all going to be somewhat shunned from the group.
Now while the most likely solution would be not to go, I already told her that she should come with her friend. I would need a pretty good excuse to do this.
Besides the racism, I have a lot in common with these friends and we have shared some pretty good times. I would find new friends, but that's kind of hard to do here (I'm a military officer, most of the people here are enlisted and I'm not supposed to fraternize, besides this is freaking North Dakota and not too many people around).
Sorry for the long post, but any advice you could give me would be appreciated.
Bottom line: I'm walking a thin line between my girlfriend and my friends due to racism, and I don't want to lose neither.
