It means it'll default to public domain and anyone can put out an edition.

Also:
n February 3, 2010, the Institute of Contemporary History (IfZ) in Munich announced to republish an annotated version of the text, for educational purposes on schools and universities, in 2015, when the copyright currently held by the Bavarian state government expires. This would then be the book's first publication in Germany since 1945. A group of German historians argued that a republication was necessary to get an authoritative annotated edition by the time the copyright runs out, which will open the way for neo-Nazi groups to publish their own versions. "Once Bavaria's copyright expires, there is the danger of charlatans and neo-Nazis appropriating this infamous book for themselves" Wolfgang Heubisch said. The Bavarian government opposed the plan, citing respect for victims of the Holocaust. The Bavarian Finance Ministry said that permits for reprints would not be issued, at home or abroad. This would also apply to a new annotated edition. The republished book might be banned as Nazi propaganda. Even after expiration of the copyright, the Bavarian government emphasized that "the dissemination of Nazi ideologies will remain prohibited in Germany and is punishable under the penal code

It enters the public domain.

Get ready for an onslaught of stupid knock-offs. Mein Kampf & Zombies; Adolf Hitler, Vampire Hunter; Mein Kampf and the Global Jewish Conspiracy; etc.

Here's a weird one..

Let's say you have a 2 or 3 liter soda and drink some of it and place it back in the fridge.

You come back the next day and the bottle has some condensation inside and the bottle appears to be sucking itself inwards.

Anyone know why this happens?

Do people scream in real life? It happens all the time and films..and bad dramas..but I just can't imagine someone doing it in real life. Is it a reflex?

I think it's an instinct thing, to warn others of the danger. Like a squawking bird.
I've never screamed, personally, cause I aint scared of nothin but I've seen it happen.

the air inside cools down so either the pressure or volume inside the bottle also has to go down because air more or less follows the ideal gas law. probably
edit: there's a 3 liter soda?

Woah, thanks for the help guys!

Just one more music file question...

All of my imported CDs and bought music is on my iPod. Only thing is, the harddrive where I had them all backed up crashed. So pretty much if my iPod dies I'm screwed.

Any good programs out there to import songs from an iPod?

I guess that makes sense. It just seems way too forced to be done naturally though to me. It's weird.

You've never been on a rollercoaster or in a haunted house?

I don't scream too often but it's a very common sound to me.

Can someone reduce this gif's file size to the GAF avatar requirements? I think 150kb is the limit.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, dude.

I hate to ask, but is there a way to slow it down, or did you have to remove frames to make it fit under the 150kb cap?
Yeah I had to remove frames.

But here it is slowed down anyway:

And here it is with all the frames but with colors drastically reduced:

Thanks, dude. These two are 152kb, so I'll stick with the first one.

I really appreciate all your help.

Is there a program that can help me figure out what big things to delete on my HDD? I've got about 200GB left and I can't think of a thing I'd want to delete, but I know there's some shit deep down there I can. I think windows (ircc) has one but I want something a little more elaborate.

Windows Directory Statistics (WinDirStat): http://windirstat.info/

It'll give you a visual, color coded representation of your HDD. Sounds exactly like what you need... it's open source and free to use.

holy crap, i used this waaayyyy long ago, and I was wondering what it was called. Thanks!

There's also SequoiaView, which I use, but this one looks far better. Gonna try it out. :)

edit: oh wow, so much win, WinDirView craps all over Sequoia, because it lets you see the folder name as well as does the block view, niiice. :D

So, I'm interested in buying Japanese anime and movies on blu-ray. However, you can imagine my surprise at some of the prices for just one bluray... So my question is, is play-asia the only destination to purchase Japanese blurays and if not what are some of the other websites and are the play-asia prices normal? Thanks in advance.

I sometimes order stuff from YesAsia. It's probably about the same price, but at least it's an alternative.

Thanks for the link, those prices are definitely around the same but I do appreciate the fact I have alternatives now. Anymore websites that specialize in Japanese media?

The person trying to log into your account had the following IP address: xx.x.xx.xx
The IP is an italian address according to whois. (someone didnt like my comments about italian futbol)

OK, WHO WAS IT?

How do we know that you're the real Fersis and not an imposter?

Hey, in the episode 'The Switch' of Seinfeld, there is a piece of music that plays when Neumann is talking to Babs, I've heard it before and it's very familiar, but I can't find out what it is, anyone know?

How come it takes 4-8 weeks from when you subscribe to a magazine until you get your first issue? This is especially strange when you're talking about weekly magazines.

So I'm supposed to be going over to a lady friend's house tonight and she has a PS3. I've never owned one, only 360, so I was wondering if it is possible to put a movie(.avi) onto a thumbdrive and plug and play on the PS3 like you can on the 360. What say you GAF?

Avi is a go, proceed with mission.

Does the free version of winamp have a cap on music quality it can play? I took the ~900kbps files from the newish beatles CDs from my dads computer and when I try to play them it just skips through them all. They work in other players. The winamp site only talks about rip/burn restrictions.

I say you're going over to a lady friends house and you're more worried about playing a movie on her PS3 then getting laid.

Why is Starcraft II free to play online but WoW costs $15?
If Starcraft II's gameplay took place on one of many servers that could hold hundreds of people at any given time, had 10 different playable classes to balance, and released quarterly content patches, then we'd probably see it costing $15 per month.

C'mon. Everybody knows the movie is just the pretext.

It's because blizzard adds in free content every few months (SC2 won't see any new content until the next expansion). Also the server costs to operate WoW are much higher than SC2 so part of the money goes towards that too
