I have the latest version of Flash Player 10. The image will get all "blocky" and discolored. I've even seen it happen to select YouTube videos.

Very often it happens on GameSpot's website.

The flash plugin is fucked up. Delete every part of it and reinstall it. If that doesn't work, reinstall newest beta or slightly older version
 
Why does Fraps only record about 3-4 minutes of me playing games? It usually starts a new file around 3:30 or so, and it's annoying because I want to do an LP of a game on another forum, but putting all those files together would be such a hassle.

Long sentences are long and run on needlessly after I've already made my point?

Two negatives = Positive
Mostly because light is emitted by the sun and bounces off objects into our eyes so that we see color.
 
My external harddrive isn't letting me put files on it. It's only giving me about 6 gigs but when I check its properties it says there are over 400 gigs available. What the fuck is going on? It's a MyBook btw.

Imagine someone told you to take 2 steps in a forward direction, that's 2 positives. Then imagine someone told to you face the other way, but take 2 steps backwards, that's 2 negatives, but you'd still have gone the same distance forward.

My friend lost his iPhone and we have no idea where it could be. We checked the club we went to last night, and the taxi service. Is there any way to find where it is somehow, maybe using the gps? I have seen apps that let you locate your phone, but they have to be installed before you can use it, and the phone is already gone.

HELP!
 
May have asked this here but I'm not sure. I'm looking for an old Archie's comic. At the end all the gang were hanging out in the pool saying something like "If the heat can't be beat play it cool in the pool". I've looked in those best of compilations but still nothing. If anyone has any idea it would be super cool.

Also, wonder if we'll be getting a new thread here soon due to the smaller thread size requirements.

I think there's an app you can download on someone else's iPhone that can help you find it. Maybe I'm wrong?
 
Is it possible to have two cable providers coming into the same home? I really want to get Dish Network and get rid of crappy comcast, but comcast's internet is pretty much the only viable option around here. And I think it's cheaper to get the basic cable service with it than just the internet by itself (hilarious, I know). Will this pose any problems for me in my new house? I'd like to have the same setup I do now: desktop pc hooked up to hdtv, so cable modem is also being used at the main cable outlet.

Yes, it is possible and no one will try to stop you, but only rich people do it.

Seriously I know a lot of people who have cable internet and satellite. Before the requirement of set top boxes, some had basic cable came through the same stream as the internet. They were getting free basic cable through their computer.

Every time I put them on my iPod and try to play them I get a glitchy/weird green image.

What file type/resolution should I be converting to?
 
Anyone else saw that Facebook changed the compression level when you upload pictures ? It looks like shit now. Anything to do ?

Any other easy way to display lots of pic through social networks ? Google image offers 20gb of pic of $5 a year, but can you manage the privacy of your online album as Facebook ?

mp4. Some converters have an iPod-specific setting, but anything in mp4 should be okay.

If you're having trouble remembering which combinations of positives and negatives result in what, I came up with a pretty simple method. Just equate the two with "will/won't" and "win/fail", respectively.

For example:

2 x 2 is two positives, so "will win". Positive.

2 x -2 is a positive and then a negative, so "will fail". Negative.

-2 x -2 is two negatives, so "won't fail". Positive.

-2 x 2 is a negative and then a positive, so "won't win". Negative.

I still think I'm the only one who's explained why, in that it follows from the definition of -1 and the distributivity of multiplication over addition.

ITT = In This Thread (though I like to think of it as "ITS TOOL TIME!")
SMH = Smack My Head

To get tags you have to be really awesome or really stupid. The mods give you one.
