First of all, I'm going to fap to this news. I loved Man Of Steel and been wanting a sequel for god knows how long.
Second, I don't care who does it, just stay true to the source material and stop overdoing the sonic booms every time he's flying. its fucking stupid to have a series of sonic booms in a single flight sequence.

The Superman sonic booms are a common misconception. They're actually detonations due to Superman's chronic IBS.

Dude, sound engineering deserve some love. It gave the movie more weight, if there wasn't already, with the massive scale of destruction going on. I don't care what anyone says, that movie was fantastic. The whole terraforming scenario was a visual treat.

In the right hands the idea that Black Adam and Superman, both near deities that can each represent a form of goodness, Suoes the kinder forgiveness and BA a harsher, more punitive god, but both with almost the same end goal, could work.
It would be hard to not run with "Superman as Jesus", "BA as Yahweh", theme hard on the nose, but that's about the only way I see it playing out. The Rock won't play an actual bad guy, he's gonna be "a tough good guy who crushes poorly conceived and obvious strawmen in his path" so supes winning won't be the obvious outcome.
Maybe I'm wrong and they can give BA more than 1 desire and some depth.
Plus if they are gonna fight it might was well be in space with them throwing planets at each other because that's the only logical escalation at this point.

I'd rather they did a soft reboot like they did with The Suicide Squad rather than a straight sequel. In Man of Steel and Batman v Superman, they trashed the basic thematic elements of Superman that make him the unique hero he is. They wrote Pa Kent as some kind of selfish, almost fatalist and unsympathetic character. The strong cast of supporting characters at The Daily Planet he enjoys in the comics were altered or left out in ways that not only made them not even factor into the movie really, but actually detracted from it (I mean what they did to Jimmy Olsen alone....). Superman not even bothering to attempt to reduce casualties in his fight with Zod. And more.
They need to make a proper Superman movie. Not that fevered dream Snyder came up with.

I liked that ayn rand take on a Kansas farmer lol. Fuck you got mine has basically been the motto of the American farmer over the last couple of decades. that said, I think he was just trying to be a good father and was being overprotective. He gave his life for it, and that stubborness is another midwestern trait that rang true for me.
It was a good contrast to his real dad who was a scientist and cared about helping others. It's no surprise that Cavil's superman didnt immediately turn into the good guy who goes out of his way to save everyone. Hes still a conflicted man.
Their big fuck up was throwing all that aside to do a Batman vs Superman movie instead of doign Man of Steel 2 first. People needed to see him resolve those issues with his two fathers and become Supreman. Instead we just got a Neil Degreass Tyson voice over montage of him helping others. BvS is just a masterclass of everything wrong with storytelling. It should be taught in schools of what NOT to do. I like the action, the cinematography and Ben Affleck in the movie, but it makes zero sense whatsoever whereas Man of Steel is still somewhat thematically consistent.

Dude is rich, he could afford hair plugs. I don't understand why he doesn't get them. I mean look at Elon Musk - that guy was almost bald in his twenties and now thanks to treatments and procedures he looks like he has a very healthy head of hair on him.
Dunno, maybe he is, just slowly so there is no radical change in his appearance. Or he can manage with a weave or whatever. Perhaps he figures he only needs to deal with it for another decade or so then he can transition to some other kind of roles where his hairline is less critical.

This is what they have to do if they want it to work. There was so much wrong with MoS & BvS, a soft reboot is the only way to go. Beginning with a new design for the suit, and allowing Cavill a bit of actual personality.
Lighten up the damn colour palette a bit as well. Let’s see something that says ‘Superman’ rather than ‘we really wanted to do Batman, but got stuck with this guy’.
And go back to Zimmer and get him to do a more fanfare-ish, brassy version of his Superman theme. We don’t need Williams again.
And cast Matt Smith as Brainiac.
