I'm at the point of every multiplayer game where I play long enough for the skill ceiling to raise a mile and everyone is a killer. I'm having less and less fun with each game I have.
Edit: I think I should just take a break. I did that with Street Fighter 5 and now I'm enjoying that game as much as I did at launch. Maybe the same will happen with Titanfall.

I'm a total newbie at console shooters. I haven't enjoyed a single competitive shooter on a console since Goldeneye. Having played Tribes on PC (and AvP), Halo looked simple and boring. I suck at aiming with twin sticks.
I still absolutely love Titanfall 2, despite all of that. It's pulled me away from Rocket League, which is some kind of miracle and testament to respawn's achievement.
Edit - I'm only referring to the game's accessibility, not trying to add commentary to the state of the populations on different platforms.
it's crazy how much Angel City shits all over every map in TF2. what the hell happened to the people that designed that map? would be nice to see it in normal rotation... ever.
still, im enjoying the game. despite some terrible maps (some are decent), roof camping, and other nonsense. there is a lot to like here. im slooooowly getting better. that in itself is a testament to how much fin the game can actually be. it's taking me quite a while to adjust to the way this game has changed since the first, but ive been sticking with it.

The satisfaction of meeting some cocky person who spams "You suck" after every kill.
Only for them to.... stay in your Titan Dome in hopes of meleeing you in the face as you enter your titan, and then simply execute them because they lost so much hp from camping in there at the end of the game.

Definitely worth a try. Even a week cold turkey can make all the difference.
I go back and forth between SFV and T2 regularly, and whenever I do, I wonder why I ever left.
By the way, if anyone's in the market for some goofy clips/glitches, I cobbled together a short video from footage that didn't make the highlight reel. I feel cheeky for plugging, but I just love this game and this community too much and want to share!

I've only touched SFV two times(and for just a few matches each time) I think in 3 months. It's not the game though, it's me. I get way too salty playing the game. My wife hates it when I play the game because I get too visibly upset because of all the things that can happen in this game to infuriate you. And then I could spend days thinking about how I lost against certain people.
It's actually a big reason why I got Titanfall 2. I got MWR and though I still like it, it's the same old game. I needed something new and fresh and got TF2 because it was got great reviews and was discounted during Black Friday. I'm glad I did but Akuma and the balance changes drops in a few weeks. I'll have no choice but to go back lol.
Man I'm so sad that I'll never be able to move or aim like this. But me and most people are still playing this game like a faster version of the COD, basically what SwolBro hates so much. We can't bunny hop nor can we seem to aim from the hip that well. I must admit it makes the game not as fun as it could be because most players like myself can't move this way. So we're spending so much time looking for each other instead of trying to shoot each other.

You dont need to bunny hop to play the game properly. It helps you move faster, but simply chaining wall runs and slides is more than adequate.
Aiming from the hip is great for SMGs and a few ARs, but theres a reason sniper rifles and the Hemlock and G2 exist. Theyre not meant to be fired from the hip.

I forgot about finest hour and big red one. I was talking about MW and MW2, so really the 6th and 8th game in the franchise before it took off.

I always make sure I play SFV ranked when the missus is asleep, haha. I can always shake the salt off the next day, but I wouldn't want anyone seeing me having a bad session!
New characters always freshen things up, though. Not just because everyone is essentially learning the game again, but simply because they're exciting. I've found there's a new honeymoon period for SFV every time new DLC hits. It's a good system.

T2 is indeed a refreshing change from other shooters. It doesn't frustrate me at all, and it's the one game that consistently gives my Share button a healthy work out.

Yes, this game needs to new maps real soon. I don't think dropping 3 at a time will cut it either. They need to drop 5 new maps at a time. I don't care if 2 or 3 are remakes either.

Sometimes I don't understand how people get hate mail.
I can go 35 and 0 with something stupid like the Devotion and someone will send me a message saying 'good game'.
I used to get hate mail, back on the XBOX 360, back in 2007, but I find it hard to believe that anyone would trigger anyone enough, that they'd receive 3 hate mails within a 'few games'.

LTS is the best mode with friends. Just crazy shit. Haven't had that much fun since the good ol cod days.
It's usually from someone that is semi decent and they're used to stomping and then they get stomped causing a rush of salt to the bloodstream which results in hate mail sending
I had very salty enemy in Coliseum yesterday.
There is rarely good players in there and I guess someone better than avg had me against him and he got so mad when I won with "cheap" tactics.
For him cheap was to use grenade against his phase shift.
Imo if he doesnt want to eat grenade then dont use that phase shift.
Is he using stim in that?
Also: somewhat annoyed this is I'm community with more posts in the OT than bf1.

Deleted the game this week. Feel like a gave it a good go over a few weeks and it just never clicked with me. I really didn't like the maps and I think that may have been a big part of it. I found them all boring to look at visually. I'm happy for those of you that are enjoying it.

It just seems like a mechanic I've never seen and it happens twice in the video.
He uses grenade to explode himself to go faster, since you cant die in that mode.
And that effect comes from being low hp I guess.

Then again, maybe I just suck at the R97 and switch back to an easier gun.
Glad it's not just me. Been happening a lot lately (PS4). If I bring up the scoreboard I'll see pings in the mid-hundreds during the rough stretches which usually go back down again. On really bad occasions I'll see pings in the thousands. Pingtest.net says my connection is fine. I've tried changing data centers in the main menu but they all seem to do it even though they advertise pings in the 30s to 40s for me (east coast USA).
You can also go devotion and sit all the way on the other side of a map and pick people off and hey if you miss you can always spray it!!!
Seriously I just played a match and that's all these two kids did. I still had more kills but I was moving like crazy to prevent them from camping.
Why does respawn think guns like this are ok?! Lol and if that's what they wanna do why not prevent abuses .... don't give the hemlock the hcog option, don't give the devotion any scope option... small things like that could go a long way balancing absurdities
Hemlock just feels inconsequential on PC, the hip fire is shit so I only really see people use it to camp roofs on Angel City and Homestead, which is easy enough to deal with.
I tried out the CAR and Alternator again yesterday for a couple of hours and was doing alright, I switched back to the Volt and got back to back 220+ scores in a row. Yep that gun is still a beast.

I don't discredit your experience at all. Only that PC is different.
You gotta remember that it's much harder to move and aim on console then add all the people that don't have elite controllers or claw, AND that still use "a" to jump so not even bumper jumper.......
Rooftop/window camping reigns supreme by 99% of the population .
yeah exactly, being able to move and aim quicker on the PC definitely makes the Hemlock a lot less powerful. I sometimes play on PS4 too and the game is much slower and has way more camping which makes guns like G2, Devotion and Hemlock more powerful, you don't really see them on PC outside of very specific maps.
