Vehicles don't have feet! Lol!
EVERYONE know that
Well shit , i never thought of that!
Vehicles don't have feet! Lol!
EVERYONE know that
It only took 40+ pages, but it seems like everyone is lightening up.
Feel a bit let down with 6 v 6 basically because of the Titan dynamic. If one team has 2 Titan's in play then that leaves only 4 player controlled humans to seek out.
Why would Activision be against something like that? If they would they'd have never thought up of/approved Call of Duty EliteNot with Activision taking complete control of their creative direction
Why invest in balance when you can invest in KILL STREAK REWARDS
What really annoys me about Titanfall is that we're only two months from release, and the developers are just being so damn secretive. Hell, we don't know how the game plays at all other than a few pre-scripted gameplays and some trailer footage featuring the new Titans. We have no idea how the "AI" is supposed to work. I assume they're just supposed to run out and take objectives and die to human players (like in MOBAs), or I could be wrong. Maybe they're suppose to actually kill people. Hell if I know. We don't know any of the story at all, not even how it's supposed to play into the multiplayer aspect of the game.
Christ, we don't even know who's making the 360 version! We haven't even seen what it looks like on the Xbox One, let alone the 360! What if the current gen version ends up being poor in quality? No one knows the capabilities of these devs, or the extent of the quality control Respawn's doing.
We're getting all these promises of "Oh, we're going to re-define the FPS genre," and "We know what's best for our vision, just trust us." I'm not trying to rag on the game or anything, I want this game to succeed. We all want this game to succeed. I'm just getting very wary about all of the promises that Respawn is making. I don't want another Aliens: Colonial Marines on my hands. This game has been under tight wraps for so long, I'm starting to get sick of it, really.
I do absolutely understand this sentiment, Titanfall is a game that we need to know more about as soon as human possibly. I'm assuming they're going to start the marketing blitz any week now.
I still need to see why press is making this game second COD4.
Only PC version matters anyways. All else is irrelevant.
Have you seen Titanfa... Oh wait..
The announcement of the 6v6 player count further kills the incredible lack of interest in this game
I'm sorry but 6v6 is fine if it's like a gear of war style game with no vehicles and tight maps but I was under the impression Titanfall was a larger game with big ass mechs. From all the footage I was assuming it would be something like 12v12 action.

Too bad it's going to be Origin exclusive.
I don't actually know that for sure, obviously
He has gone into negative interest, and is therefore now interested in the game again. What does this even mean?
Source? Oh wait you never played games like Gears of War or Counter Strike or a lot of other games that have around the same amount of players.
If I remember correctly, the game is balanced in a way that a pilot shouldn't be totally outmatched by a titan. Given the pilot's speed and verticality, you're supposed to be smart in how you engage a titan. Not avoid them completely to gun down other pilots.
I'm more concerned about the ratio of Pilots to Titans. I think there will be a limit on how many Titans can be in the map at any one time (either 3 or 4) to sustain 60fps.
I think 8 v 8 or 9 v 9 would have been a good number because the 6 v 6 we have in this game will feel different to what we are used to with multiple people in Titan suits.

Would people stop using this asinine argument, please?
More is not always better, but honestly I expected more than 6v6 from a multiplayer only game.
I bet you and your peers in the industry read threads like this and either facepalm or break out laughing right?

For some reason I never really thought about this. That kills my hype WAY more than the 6v6 thing...

It is pretty fucking depressing. There's nothing really wrong with Origin, but there's nothing really good about it, either. It's just annoying.
Would a map like Gridlock or Rooftops have worked in an 8v8 or 10v10 scenario in the original Gears of War? Hell no, those maps are too small and the weapons placed in choke points that would have been impossible to get to.

I highly prefer playing with a controller.![]()

Respawn has confirmed 12 Titans on the map at the same time is possible.
I just don't understand why they couldn't have several different maps/configurations and let the players decide which they like most .
A 10v10 with 2 Mechs per team would have been nice.. ( Like people following a tank) 6v6 may turn out to be the best maps but the lack of choice is what is bumming people out.
People would have naturally gravitated to what they liked but it looks like you will have to drink the koolaid and like it.
PC version is certainly the least relevant of the three. It'll sell the most on 360 and is the de facto One exclusive for a good 6-7 months.Only PC version matters anyways. All else is irrelevant.
http://www.pcgamer.com/2014/01/08/titanfall-draws-fire-over-6v6-max-player-count-respawn-respond/Here's some news that's almost more notable for the fallout than the main reveal. Responding to a question on Twitter last night, Respawn's Vince Zampella announced that the maximum player count for Titanfall matches would be 6v6. At which point the world collectively said "okay", and went back to flambéing their coq au vin. No, wait, I'm thinking of the parallel universe full of sensible people who don't instantly rage about a game they've yet to play. Back in this universe, some people "had a reaction", to such an extent that a developer at Respawn took to NeoGAF to explain the decision.
Obviously not everybody on the internet decided to bash their head against a keyboard until the words "FUCK THIS GAME" fell out. More than a few did, though, and it's a bizarre attitude to take. There's no real reason why higher numbers are better, and many games that support extra players don't necessarily benefit from them. TF2, for instance, is a significantly worse game with 32 people than with the suggested 24. If the map design supports the chosen player count, then the game will feel natural however many people are in it.
...conference attendees at PAX, Gamescom, Tokyo, AUS (etc) were playing full matches at those conferences throughout the summer/fall, E3 had a live demo being played every X minutes to anyone who wanted to see it, and there've been tons of interviews & interactions on twitter/forums/telegraph-wire. There's still a lot more to reveal, sure, but March 11 is two months away. All will be revealed. =)
PC version supports controllers, same as the other versions. At at least one of the conferences, players could choose between the two on the fly (some other conferences, only 360 controllers were exposed for use, and some might have been kb/m only but I'm not sure).
Nope. Everyone gets a titan, no waiting your turn or being blocked by other people. No shenanigans.
PC Gamer's take on the sitch

I know, but I don't get much enjoyment from getting rolled by players that use a more accurate control scheme.PC version supports controllers, same as the other versions. Well they may have not played the game yet, but they may have paid. They might not like this news. If you don't want to take criticism for an unreleased game, don't take people's money for an unreleased game.

The review thread is going to be fucking bonkers. Like Skrillex bass drop played through a subwoofer the size of a SETI satellite dish directly in to an echo chamber bonkers.
Really? Six months? But we've known that it's a 6v6 game for six months now. If people who pre-ordered are disappointed by that news, they only have their own ignorance to blame.

Or, perhaps, IGN's disingenuous previews. But not Respawn.
Im excited for the game but even if it ends up being shit that thread will make it all worth it. The great storm is coming.
Where has this 6v6 information been? I thought just recently Vince Zampalla spilled the beans?
Show me? Unless that information was obtained only from a booth employee who answered someone's question while they were playing.
That's not known information.
Maybe we'll get an ass storm after all!
I'm on my phone, someone else post the gif.
The gameplay demo from E3 shows 6 players on each team. It's been on YouTube since June 10th, available freely to watch by anyone with an internet connection capable of streaming video.Where has this 6v6 information been? I thought just recently Vince Zampalla spilled the beans?

That gif is safely stored away in Al Capone's Vault until an actual ass storm materializes. Geraldo Rivera is live on the scene and awaiting updates.Maybe we'll get an ass storm after all!

Yeah, I did, because I'm excited about the game and I wanted to learn as much I could gather from what they've shown us.So everyone is suppose to watch the video and count every player?
