I saved my BF3 download like that before switching from Win7 to 8.1 (clean install, new partitions).

Have there ever been preloads on gaming consoles? I honestly don't know.
I think you should be fine. I've seen somewhere (maybe reddit) where people who have ordered physical and wanted to preload, downloaded the preload files and put them in the Origin Games folder and had Origin recognize it. So in your situation you should be fine just make sure you put the files where they need to be.
MS tweeted that they were going to do pre-loading of Titanfall, as did Respawn, on Xbox One. Was also an announced feature during the early days. Unfortunately, they didn't actually do it.
Have you tried downloading the new drivers yet? NVIDIA has them on the website.
Well, something to look forward to in the future I guess. It would be nice to have this ready to go for midnight.

There's a specific order when playing them, but no specific order you have to complete them in, so long as you've completed them all.
How much time do you have to waste in order to complete this?
Yeah but it makes about as much sense as MW2 so go fucking nuts. Join at the end and get the titans then never play it again.

Did people really want a single-player campaign for this game, or have they just been trained to believe that a game needs one in order to be "complete"?
You get use to it. Just farm levels to get the better weapons.

Already answered, but not much time at all, especially when the game actually launches and it's easier to find a match on a specific map in campaign. And I wouldn't consider it a waste. They're better matches than standard attrition and hardpoint domination.
