Same reason I watched the third Matrix movie, Terminator Genisys and Independence Day: Resurgence. Low quality narrative trainwrecks are fun for me.

I skim almost all the dialogue at this point because it's almost completely nonsense and a waste of time. I just want to see what happens next and once I confirm that it's more bullshit, I close and wait a few months to read another few chapters in a row.
I've told myself I'd quit the series multiple times, but I can't seem to stop.

man i can't believe kubo basically off screened that giant sternritter many characters were fighting for what felt like forever. what a waste of fucking time. dude is basically just adding filler so he can get a few more volumes of sales in before he ends this mess of a manga. with toriko basically becoming garbage thanks to being hurried into ending the manga there won't be much to read soon. only jump i will read is one piece and hxh whenever it comes back on.

Looking back, Bleach has always been style over substance. They have been doing asspulls since the Soul Society arc. It's pretty clear that Kubo doesn't plan things out very far ahead of where the manga is now. The fights just became unsatisfying when people realized the pattern. Characters just hold back for some stupid reason and then perfectly counter their opponent with a new move that we've never seen before. That didn't just crop up now, it has been going on almost the entire length of the series.
I'm starting to suspect that Kubo likes creating and designing characters more than writing situations that make sense. You look at something like Naruto that has problems, but a whole different set of them. At least that manga usually had characters come up with clever solutions to win fights. The Bleach solution is almost always giving them a powerup in the middle of the fight, a new move they didn't use from the start just because, or have someone show up at the last second with the perfect counter move.

This is SOO aggravating. If kubo at least took a moment to build up to them using these powers it would at least read better.

I'm not quite sure myself. For me, cracks began to during the Sin Chapters. Everything went stupid once Ulquiorra "killed" Ichigo and the series was never the same.
After that, we got the Kurosaki yelling from Orihime.
The infamous Heart page.
Yami being Espada 0.
Hitsugaya's ice mirror.
Starrk's anti climactic death.
Wonderweiss's terrible release.
There's more that I'm missing, but getting those in quick succession wore my love for the series down.
Damn, I don't remember half of these ones after the SS arc.

I had completely forgot this was even a thing and that was like page 1 of the arc. Seemingly so did Kubo.
Well, I initially read the manga, then the anime was easier to come by, so I tried watching it, but at about 100 episodes in, I had to quit. It was like no arc had any end and the new people they were fighting were leading them nowhere.
Bleach ends with Aizen, sitting in his bedroom, looking into a snow globe of a Japanese castle.

Everything fell apart when Kubo's editor convinced him to extend the Hueco arc due to the popularity of the Espada. Kubo didn't really have any ideas to keep the arc interesting though so things got bogged down until he finally had to bring back the Soul Society captains, which began the carnival of stupid we are still in today.
Out of all the ass-pulls in the series, that is still the worst one.
