Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are breaking their silence about their son molesting young girls, including some of their own daughters, and they're doing it on Fox News Channel.

Michelle says she and Jim Bob will sit down with Megyn Kelly some time next week to, "share our hearts with you about the pain that we walked through as a family twelve years ago, the tears we all shed and the forgiveness that was given."

This could be a Hail Mary ... as we reported, our sources say TLC is leaning toward canceling "19 Kids and Counting."

FNC says the interview will air June 3rd at 9 on The Kelly File.

So I just read some of this transcript from the Fox interview tonight

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are defending their handling of eldest son Josh’s molestation of five underage girls, including four of their daughters.

In an interview with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly on “The Kelly File” Wednesday, the reality TV stars went into great detail about what exactly happened 12 years ago when Josh, the eldest son of the “19 Kids and Counting” family, confessed to having touched some of his younger sisters inappropriately.

“There were a couple of times he came and told us what he had done,” Jim Bob Duggar told Kelly of how they found out about Josh’s actions. “Again this was not rape or anything like that, it was touching someone over the clothes. There were a couple of times he touched someone under the clothes for a few seconds. Each time he came and told us, crying. It was the third time that we decided we needed help.”

“I think as parents we felt, ‘We’re failures,'” Michelle Duggar told Kelly in a previously released clip. “You know, here we tried to raise our kids to do what’s right, to know what’s right, and yet one of our children made really bad choices. And I think, as a parent, we were devastated.”

The duo, prompted by Kelly, also spent a great deal of time blaming the tabloids for spreading the story around, as well as Josh’s sealed juvenile records detailing his actions being released illegally.

The Duggars also blamed the tabloid media for re-victimizing the daughters who were touched inappropriately by Josh as children

This whole thing has been very infuriating for me on a couple different personal levels. My cousin was molested by her three brothers, I mentioned that earlier. On a personal level though I went through a similar thing with my sister at the hands of my brother when I was a kid. I haven't been able to talk about it till recently going to therapy. This just pisses me off and has stirred up alot of anxiety and anger issues for me the last couple weeks. We weren't a religious household like my cousins but my parents still ignored it and my sister tried to deal with it by taking me to a methodist church when I was a kid and she pushed it all down.

These tactics is EXACTLY what is wrong with child molestation and rape. The families try to hide it out of shame and almost brainwash the kids. Three times, it took that a-hole three fucking times going to the parents before they even tried to do anything. It took HIM coming forward, and who really knows if it was just three, probably not. And their attitude was "its not really rape because they were too young to understand and they were sleeping:

FUCK YOU, YOU VILE PIECES OF HUMAN TRASH!! They are awful vile parents, I can't even imagine the brainwashing those kids have been through.

Officially canceled by TLC

After thoughtful consideration, TLC and the Duggar family have decided to not move forward with 19 Kids and Counting. The show will no longer appear on the air.
The recent attention around the Duggars has sparked a critical and important conversation about child protection.
Over these past weeks, TLC has consulted regularly with leading victims' rights and advocacy organizations in the U.S., including RAINN and Darkness to Light, to discuss how to use this moment to address the issue and make a positive impact. Unfortunately, child sexual abuse is not an isolated issue; it affects many children and families around the world. To that end, we are partnering with both organizations on a multi-platform campaign to raise awareness and educate parents and families about the issue. In the first phase of this initiative, TLC will work closely with both groups and with the Duggar family on a one-hour documentary that will include Jill and Jessa and other survivors and families that have been affected by abuse.
TLC has been especially concerned for the victims in this situation, including the Duggar family, and it is our hope that this effort will help those in need learn where to turn for information and help. The documentary will be commercial free, and we anticipate it will air later this summer.

Well at least it's cancelled. Insane that it took them this long to do it.

Has it actually been airing in the meantime? It seems like a relatively tiny amount of time in it involving how to approach planning out a documentary on the subject matter with the people involved while sidestepping all the legal matters.
