This thread reminded me of how much I want this game. I'm holding on to hope that it's still in the making, and I refuse to believe Y2Kev's lies about it being dead. Versus I can see being canned now, but not my beloved The Last Guardian.

I remember a post from way back where someone claimed that if TLG and FFXIIIVersus didn't end up getting released for the PS3, people should sue Sony or something because of false advertising. Roflmao.

If this doesn't get me membership into The Last Guardian Support Group, I'm not sure what would.

Y2Kev is just being tsundere about it. He probably secretly knows that it's coming.
Because buying a piece of hardware expecting to use it for a software which never had a release date or actual gameplay shown is always a terrible decision and it's worth laughing at.

Bearing in mind I bought it before it was even nearing announcement, and then was utterly disappointed at how derivative TLG appeared to be, I am never going to disagree it was a terrible decision.
By why would you make me feel worse by laughing?
Would you laugh at me for buying a PS4 just because of FFXV, KH3, and TLG?

I can remember many years ago, a teaser site showcasing a dark room with what appeared to be a small hole and a thick chain hanging over the edge. We knew something big was in store. There had been whispers around the journalistic world of some closed room trailer that would blow the minds of everyone.
E3 rolled around and at the very end......the room goes dark, and that very same hole and chain appear on the screen and we are all witness to the myth that was DogBirdRat. Knowing the game was from Ueda, my body had become beyond ready. Roughly 5 years later..........my body is as ready now, as it was all those years before. They hype never died.

Haha, you're assuming I am a self respecting adult.
Anyways, in all seriousness I just about made peace with my PS3 purchase last generation. I'd be kinda relieved to hear TLG's been canned - if only to know what Ueda might move onto next. If there's one thing worse about TLG's continual delay than the game having not released at all, it's that Ueda's been preoccupied by the mess.
