RIP. He tweeted less than a day ago he was going to be doing a podcast this afternoon so it was a sudden thing for sure.

Sad stuff so many legends of wrestling gone

Not many wrestlers, then or now, could evoke as much emotion as Roddy could. Love him or hate him, he made you pay attention to him. Way too young.

Damn, that's a shame. Another legend of my youth gone. Did not realize he had cancer previously.. such a horrible disease. Glad he managed to beat it for a long time though.

If true I don't know what to say, @R_Roddy_Piper was supposed to come over at 2pm today, I love him very much.

:(

Do most wrestlers die in there 60s by natural causes?

Pro wrestling is a hard life, especially for guys who were active 20-30 years ago. Lots of drugs, lots of physical abuse.

Eddie Guerrero died of natural causes in his late 30's. A lot of guys have just dropped dead at a very young age. I don't think this is overly shady.

It been updated. He died from Cardiac Arrest in his sleep. At least he went peacefully in his sleep and didn't collapse in front of his family like Warrior .

RIP to the Piper.

Noooooooo

Fucking goddamnit, They Live isn't on blu ray for me to remember this great man by.

it is, with an amazing cover

R.I.P.

I'll never forget the time he faced The Mountie for the IC Title on SNME, got shocked by the cattle prod, but still won. He then took off his shirt to show one underneath that said "Shockproof." That always got me.
He must be none other than the...

Few knew how to get heat like he could.

Sadly in the current wrestling environment nobody like home could exsist today.

that's not dying from natural causes.

Damn, this hits hard. Legend. I'm going to rewatch his match with Bret Hart Wrestlemania 8. Psychology up the wazoo

And with Hogan falling from grace and Piper dying, that's officially a wrap, RIP my childhood

A god damned legend. He was one of the reasons I started watching wrestling as a kid in the late eighties. Dude was larger than life. RIP bro.
