Yess, and I love it. The White King vs Black King on the checkerboard. This is definitely going to be a bittersweet ending, serious losses on the OEK side for sure.

Uta at this point is still very much the wild card. He already tried to betray Souta, by leaking there was a spy in the CCG. That guy just screws with everyone, and it's great.
 
Chapter 99 is out, new arc, glad we're done with the island. Kaneki grew his legs back just fine, I still don't know why he and Amon both grew a fucked up arm.

We got an explanation on Kaneki's hair color, lol. I really hope Amon is still alive, it doesn't look like Marude contacted Kaneki, so he seems to be in his own group, depends if the "other investigator" they mentioned in this chapter is Takizawa.

Nishio's objective still doesn't make much sense to me, is he only there to look for Kimi? He even took half of Anteiku with him (black dog, devil ape, shuu). Another possibility is that Kimi could be just there to spy on Kanou but eh... Nishio being there looking for Kanou still doesn't make sense. At first I thought Nishio was there for the manager.

Maybe the regen was instantaneous vs delayed? Iirc Kaneki grew that arm during a fight to use right? Once they replaced with kagune the regular flesh fails to regen.

I guess they could've grabbed the manager huh? Actually surprised that they didn't show him like with Rize. Speaking of.. I wonder what they ever did with her, is she still in that container? lol

Yeah but he also grew kagune-like legs during his fight with Arima because he wasn't able to re-attach them, maybe it's just the matter of choice, it's just sort of weird

Sachi said the manager is basically dead, but at the same time he didn't give up on Rize and was still trying to protect her because "she's his daughter", so I think Rize might have recovered to some extent

i liked this one, but if kaneki is talking about making humans and ghouls understand each other, why did he call it an "anti-human organization"?

Honestly CCG only has a handful of investigators left I don't know why Take just don't contact the coworkers he's friends with to clarify a few things, that way they can easily avoid conflicts at least with a few of them to make the "talk" smoother, especially several of them used to consider Sasaki as a friend.

Good to see Mutsuki decided to believe in Sasaki.

Don't know what Furuta/Clown's objective is honestly.

So Mutsuki is killing and conusming humans now? If someone finds out the Qs will likely be squashed. Pretty big secret. I'm guessing we'll learn just what the difference between Furuta and Kaneki's goals will be in the next chapter.

Did TG ever expand on what might happen if the entire city was taken over by ghouls? Certainly this can't be the first time ghouls have attempted to take over completely. I'm almost anticipating a descent from other countries that will quash this rebellion for the end of the series, but one would think that Tatara would have known that given his origin.

Ghouls seem to be a minority from what I can tell, so I take it that they're under control globally and each country has to deal with their own issue, like how Matsuri was in Germany dealing with their own problems before he moved to Japan

I really don't know what Furuta's goal is, if he hates the Washuus, he got his revenge, does he really want to take over CCG? For what?
 
Art seems really wonky in those last two chapters.

Bit confused on how Matsuri situation looks behind the scenes with V and all. Surely he should know about Souta ?

Wanted to see a lot of Kaneki interacting with peeps but its seems that is not going to happen.
 
CCG looks broken as hell, which is to be expected. Even after destroying so much of Aogiri tree, they end up with the most losses, hah. Ghouls are just gonna crowd around their new lord and savior Kaneki after that battle.

Next chapter is gonna be good. I wonder what Furuta's goals are now that he basically ended the washuu family.
 
Will they crowd around Kaneki though? I mean, the clowns are still a force to be reckoned with. I think the final battle will be some kind of CCG+Kaneki's ghouls vs CCG+Furuta's ghouls. It would be interesting anyway.

I'm not really one to remember all that much, but I always thought of them as more of a influential and individually powerful group than a strong by numbers group.

And yeah, where the fuck did Amon disappear too.

I love Kaneki just casually meeting up with Furuta like he doesn't have people searching for him.

I mean if they make their presence known, some Ghouls might flock to them. Aren't they trying to set Furuta up to be another OEK anyway?
 
Awesome, Furuta went back to being super unhinged instead of some noble anti hero for "super peace". I really need the rest of the clowns (especially Uta) to get fleshed out though. Iirc, Roma was being held by Banjou and Co. Right? So Nico must be there to pick her up.
 
So Rize was just a ghoul to breed with the Washuu to keep Washuu's bloodline, basically she could've been Matsuri's wife if she didn't escape

So and now it's Clowns vs Anteiku, CCG are just a bunch of puppets, they're useless honestly

Where did Furuta found enough goons to push CCG harder than Aogiri, who needed dozen of years, alliances and conquests to strike as imposing figure as they did escapes me. This bit feels weak as Clowns never seemed to be a heavy on numbers organisation.


Everyone brace for Kaneki being a Washuu too.

E: Not quite convinced that's all there is to Rize, her kagune seems to be to special for that unless all Washuus are sporting something similar.
 
They're striking wards that are weakened from the Rue invasion. Still I get what you're saying, the clowns were never shown as a large group.

This was an awesome chapter, things really look better now that the Rue invasion is over.

The Kaneki vs Naki fight and Kaneki convincing Naki to join was great. I'm surprised they're focusing on Akira.

The clowns don't give a single fuck about Roma lol. Also confirmed Roma was one of the escaped ghouls in TG.

Ogura was the "ghoul expert" that shows up on tv often and he ended up being the dude that protested for ghoul rights

He's supposedly dead, it's possible that Ishida was just misleading us but I honestly don't care about him anymore after he was hyped so much just to appear for a few chapters
 
The art is a lot weaker than it used to be. Wish Ishida would take a break or whatever he needs to stop making everything look so sketchy.

Yeah, Ishida really has dropped the ball on some many things this time around.

So many hyped stuff turned out to be just meh. Powerful ghouls dying like chumps, everything seems so rushed and unfocused.

Just wanna hear that Amon died, so that I can cross it off my list.

Is the CCG lab located at the headquarters? Either way, I wonder how the lab infiltration is gonna go with the Clowns/Furuta's plot going on.
 
I'm quite enjoying this arc, I wonder if Kosaka still has contact with Touka, so I guess Kimi isn't playing the bad guy with Kanou, that's interesting, it's good that Ishida is giving the best friends characters more important roles, Hide gonna return anytime now...

I imagine the lab could be there since the main headquarter is more important than the other wards, it would be interesting with Kaneki going up against Suzuya, I wonder if that's actually what Furuta wanted/predicted.

uh from looking at Kaneki's team with Ayato and Seidou, I wonder if they'll find something about Arata, they're still farming him for the armor right? Also it's possible Amon could be there if he didn't die (lol).

I didn't even recognize Kaneki. I looked at the panel like: "Is...that really Kaneki?" I don't think Suzuya is strong enough to replace Arima, but then again, no one will ever be.

haha yeah, can't tell if not for the mask, but I like it, and I think it's sorta cool that Kaneki is leading the white suits due to the fact that he took out Jason in the original TG, and I looove Naki

Suzuya is the strongest human character left, without the the half ghoul powerup and kagune, he was hyped up to be the genius in TG and continue to keep up so far, so I wonder what they're going to do with him

Yes! The ending panel was fantastic and gives the reader an idea of Donato's strength and speed. I want to see his kagune.
