It seems Albert Breer's sources are stating the opposite:

Per source, no material terms were offered during Tuesday's settlement talks on Brady. Parties still stuck on facts (re: guilt) of the case.

https://twitter.com/AlbertBreer/status/634001073141850112

Unless i am misunderstanding what "no material terms were offered" means.

Jabee being Jabee haha. What a silly response to a very interesting summary and perspective.

I personally did not realize the hate had started before Spygate but it makes sense, because Spygate itself couldn't be enough.

I was surprised by the backlash after spygate. Prior to it I thought the patriots were a fairly well liked team. But then the outcry was pretty harsh.

Keeon mind at the time I didn't really participate in online discussions before then in general though.

Huh? He wasn't well known at all. Definitely not a hyped prospect.

Yes, the starting QB of Michigan was a total unknown. Never mind the giant and hilarious back and forth over who would start while he is there.

I'm sure no one from Boston had heard of him though since its a garbage Sports town.

He was "known" in the way that anyone who plays college football is known. He wasn't Willis McGahee or something

Oh ok, I understand your revisionist history now.

"Watch this, Lisa. You can actually pinpoint the exact moment everyone in the world thinks the Pats became a piece of shit."

Of course, for me as a Jets fan, that moment lived long before the Pats became remotely "relevant", unlike 95% of Pats fans themselves.

I always associated the Snowplow game from the 80s as the point where everyone started to think the Pats were cheaters.

There isn't a single person here who isn't a Michigan fan who could name who the starting QB for Michigan was last season.

Interesting perspectives Albatross and Grexeno. Grexeno, I was going to suggest you post your take in NFL-Gaf to see the response, but I see there's no need - they've come here.

I don't really see what Boston as a "garbage sports town", ridiculous as the premise is, really has to do with the topic anyways. Definitely true that Boston isn't a huge college football town from my experience.

So, it seems like almost nothing happened today? Are we for sure getting a decision on the 31? I was hoping for more intel like last week.

There isn't a single person here who isn't a Michigan fan who could name who the starting QB for Michigan was last season.

Ooh, I'll try - he was the dude who wore #98, right? Gardner, maybe? I always laughed at seeing that number.

Don't be surprised. People still think they filmed practices.

Relevancy is something the Jets fans will never feel.

Nah! I saw him complaining about this thread in another thread.

I am a lifelong though. Love those Pats!

No need to proclaim your lifelong love man, you're better than that. Anyone who brings that trite fecal matter into the discussion to "win" already lost. Having to verify why you're a fan or how long isn't needed.

A generally accepted mantle of eternal scumbag cheaters neither. But at least you fans can slink away to whatever else you did before becoming fans a few years ago. The shame will follow the franchise forever.

Note: This doesn't apply to Sanjuro, a true lifelong and Bledsoe Booster.

Don't check out the NFL thread if you want to maintain your sanity...

Michigan of the last decade is about as relevant as New England was for most of their history. Comparing Gardner to Brady/Henson is like comparing Brady to Babe Parilli.

Sorry, you probably don't know who that is. He was a Boston QB, Yes, the team did exist before 2001.

Zolak/Millen was the Brady/Henson of my Patriots time. Poor Drew though, greatest QB in Pats history.

Heh heh Good to see you, Dragon.

You too! Post in the NFL thread more. Need more Jets fans, especially now that the Pats are going to be mediocre!

Better to be shamed and relevant with 4 rings than not. Like I said, who cares what the public thinks.

Will be fun to destroy the Jets yet again and again .... and again.

So enough with that troll .....

Once again the ESPN guys could be wrong with the tweet about Brady saying he would take some time too based on language if Breer is correct.

I'll openly abmit I became a fan during the Brady/Belichick era. Prior to this, I wasn't really a football fan.

That 2001 super bowl run was magical though. And then watching over the next few years sold the game for me.

Tedy bruschi and Willie mcginest are still my favorites, but I love the team in general now. And yes, I love Tom Brady and wouldn't really care if he was involved.

I'm flying from LA to Boston for the October jets game.

Kessler is awesome.

Berman replied, "I read that and find that the 'general awareness' doesn't relate to the Jan. 18 game," to which Kessler said, "Outstanding observation.

http://www.csnne.com/new-england-patriots/berman-agrees-kessler-general-awareness-issue

Edit: LOL

Kessler went as far Wednesday as delving into the Wells report and the PSI findings turned in by the firm Exponent. Passing out a hand-out, Kessler said, "I call this hand-out 'Angels Dancing on the Head of a Pin.' "

‏@tomecurran Stepped out of courthouse for update. Judge Berman banging NFL around for comparing ball deflation to steroid use, making Pash off limits.

‏@tomecurran NFL attorney Daniel Nash says "some in NFL" wanted 4 games for deflation and 4 games for non-cooperation.

@BenVolin UPDATE: Hearing over after 2:15. No settlement. Judge Berman was very, very critical of NFL. Brady/NFLPA are making a good case

I hope Brady doesn't relent until he has Goodel's ass for this bullshit. The only settlement that should come out of this is when Roger negotiates his resignation.

I think Brady being willing to take a non-cooperation suspension is pretty big. NFL not being willing to settle at all hurts their case, as does the steroid comparison

I didn't know who he was. I was too busy focusing on what really mattered.

That came from ESPN "sources." Probably the same "sources" who said it was 11 of 12 footballs were 2 PSI under-inflated. ESPN needs to go with Goodell for a long walk off a short pier.

Hope that's a start two QB league or else those are crazy high draft picks.

Im curious what happens tomorrow and if there's any truth to the rumors that were on Twitter tonight. Don't know what to expect tomorrow.

He was actually my 8th round pick. I already had three WR, two RB and my TE (along with Wilson). I don't know, I probably could have waited, but I think I should do well.

Remember when Simmons was suspended for saying Goodell was a liar? The guy does nothing but lie!

Owned a Willie Clay jersey in the 1990s. Patriots dumped him. Then got a Ben Coates jersey, surely they'll never dump Coates. Next season. Bledsoe gets a big contract, get a Bledsoe jersey, nothing can stop Drew Bledsoe not even Michael Bishop. And, alas, the era of Brady.

I didn't get any jerseys for like 10+ years because of this string of misfortune. Finally got rookie star Stevan Ridley after his first year, and now...

If you bought a Brady jersey you'd have been all set for over a decade

Berman's next point was heavy on legalese, but seemed very important.

He grilled Nash on why the Brady team wasn't able to call Jeff Pash (need to doublecheck that name) wasn't allowed to be called as witness.

Pash was editor of Wells Report and featured in NFL press releases

Berman: "I don't understand the thinking to not allow Mr. Pash as a witness. Who else but Pash had the opportunity to edit the Wells Report?

Berman: The NFL "cannot just conclude they cannot have a witness bc testimony would be cumulative."

Berman: "I believe some arbitration awards have been vacated" because a witness was not allowed to be called without explanation.
