My favorite setup currently is...

3-piece Reclaimer
2-piece Tactician
Ninja Backpack (gives me the 4-piece Reclaimer set bonus and 3-piece Tactician set bonus for free)

...which is incredibly all-around useful especially with me generally leaning towards balanced builds regarding survivability, damage output, and skill power.

Edit: That said, the Classified Lone Star set can be fun to use to change things up regarding playstyle and the 6-piece Classified Final Measure bonus sure sounds good too especially for group play. I really don't know much about DeadEye, PvP, or care what the meta currently is as I play with what I think is fun to use.

Yeah, I was a bit confused on that as well but I can confirm that mixing a Classified piece with the Ninja backpack gave me the 2-piece bonus so I'm pretty sure it's just concerning the 5/6-piece set bonuses.

Nice nice. Generally I think Classified Sets have higher stat rolls so it would be interesting to mix and match Lone Star + Ninja with something else... so many options, lol.

Too bad that Shotgun-focused build is just simply not viable in so many circumstances... Incursions, Legendary missions where every enemy is capable of one-hit-kill punch you, and now even with Outbreaks where you can't just get close to enemies because contamination.... Shotguns have it soo bad in the Division right now.

Managed to bag myself 4 dead eye classified so far, cannot see me completing a 6 piece in the week of the event which is a bit disappointing but I guess that's reflective of the time I have to put into the game.

For anyone who runs a exotic/high end build, bang any classified holster on for a stat boost across all major stats. Still works with skull gloves because your not using any gearset bonuses, just taking advantage of the high rolls on classified gear.

Farmed enough tokens this morning for 4 caches. Afew missions, HVTs and named boss run. Took about an hour, I think the drop rate for tokens for time is about right for the 1500 superior caches. May get into tier 2 as had some LS caches to open up once all that was done.

Is there just the 3 masks available? Or could you get any mask from say 20 or what? Gonna be shite seeing 50% of everyone who made the leaderboard rocking the same mask lol

Yeah, I dropped only slightly in Tier 2 after not having a lot of time to play yesterday, and considering I've been going on a named enemy run, plus HVTs so far today (before the server was brought down for a bit), I think I'm going to stay stable for now. Tomorrow I'll be gone the entire day, so I'm interested in how that will change on Sunday.

I'll probably never reach Tier 1, but this is good enough for me. Heck, I'd be happy with just Tier 3 actually.

How do the Reward Tiers work?
The Global Event leaderboards have 3 Reward Tiers that define what reward you will get:

Tier 1 – lowest reward tier
Top 50% - 16% of all players
1 Mask

Tier 2
Top 15% - 6% of all players
2 Masks

Tier 3 – highest reward tier
5%-1% of all players
3 Masks

...and regarding the variety of masks...

What Mask do I get?
-The masks are assigned to specific Reward Tiers – so all Tier 1 players will all get the same mask
-Each Global Event has new masks

Concerning the Leaderboards, I'm not buying what they're reporting as I've been on 3250 since the first day yet I've opened 40 Superior Caches and at some point in there had to amass more than 3250 in one hour.

I decided to to do a test of sorts...

Started at 11:43 EST (essentially when I started matchmaking)...

6 x 750 = 4500 (6 Lexington Completions)
6 x 75 = 450 (6 Larae Barrett kills)
1 x 150 = 150 (1 Bullet King kill)

...ended at 12:42 EST (Bullett King's untimely death).

That's 5100 GE Credits within one hour so I should see this on the Leaderboard the next time it updates, right?

Shotguns have it soo bad in the Division right now.

Given the ammo count you can also use two LMGs (no shotgun) with the Lone Star set for interesting builds as well. Bullets for days...

Correct. I should just be just over 6k with what I did within an hour this morning. My leader boards say they refresh at 1am so I'll see in around 4 hours time. Also saved some LS caches, netting 85 a time from approx 10 boxes.

Edit: Leaderboards updated and my number is still the same (3250) while dropping 5000 spots even though on 3 different occasions today I have amassed more than 5000 GE Credits within one hour.

The Lone Star 6-piece bonus is crazy, it's like you get tactical links every 30 seconds. I'm using Hungry Hog as well with it.

Cut through Legendary Missions like a hot knife going through butter with it last night.

Edit: Also did some Underground for the first time in a long time last night with all 5 Directives active. It's such an underutilized mode with so much potential. I really hope it gets a revamp of sorts with 1.8 but as it is if folks are looking for some tense moments turn all the Directives on (bring a Reclaimer or 2 or 4) and give it a go. I still love it in it's current form but matchmaking is completely broken.

No lies detected, I played quite a bit last night after not having played very much since about 1.4, and it was confusing as all get out.

Even when the game was new, it had a lot of stuff to keep track of. The equipment raising and lowering three stats at once and multiple bonuses as well at mod slots for every item make me want to break out a spreadsheet.

Mad respect for people who create builds that liquify people, but for me it's all I can do to just survive sometimes.

I've gotten multiple Ninja backpacks from Superior Caches. I've also noticed the drop rate for Exotics by means of killing LZ named roaming bosses has been increased drastically although I don't know if the Ninja backpack is included in that loot pool.

Tried acouple of other builds this morning basically pure dps.

Ninja,
2 lonestar,
3 striker.

So basically 4 piece striker for the stacks and 3 piece lonestar for the +8% Shotgun Damage. Everything rolled to firearms with 1 stamina mod to unlock weapon talent. Running Brutal, Responsive, Deadly. Will roll afew more SASGs to try for Brutal, Responsive, Competent.

Also used 2 Predator rather than the Lonestar for SMG and AR bonus damage but it's so much more easier to stack with the shotgun.

Made a 5 piece DeadEye/Reckless build, been using the 4 piece with Reckless and Specialised BP but got plenty of Classifieds so thought I'd try it with the extra crit damage from the 5th piece. Not that fussed about the 6th piece bonus so will keep it at this for the time being but it's a hell of a lot of fun watching enemies crumble.

Got afew other Ninja combos to try and close to afew commendations being complete so will work on them once the GE is over.

Finally managed to put together 5 piece dead eye last night but as I've never run a sniper build before I quickly realised that I've no sniper rifles in my stash or my inventory as I routinely bin them. Luckily it won't take long to be swimming in them again, so therefore my question is, what's good sniper rifle wise? There is a Historian for sale at the vendor downstairs, that one any good?

Yep, I had a 6700+ hour and many 5000+ hours yet I'm in the same boat as mine hasn't changed since the first day (3250). Opened around 80-90 Superior Caches.

It's a widespread issue.

How's survival? The last time I played was 1.6 I think, when drastically upped the npc count, removed 3/4 of the clothing boxes and turned you into marshmallow..

I too had improved upon my credits per hour on Friday night but my score hasn't changed and I now find myself without a reward. Sigh.

The only thing I saw/heard was they were going to go forward with handing out the rewards (masks) with the results of leaderboard (broken or not) and make adjustments concerning the next Global Event.

I think they should have given everyone masks yet allowed you to earn different customizations (think Destiny-like ornaments) along the way to alter the masks appearance.

My bigger issue with Global Events in general is the idea of speedrunning everything as it's simply annoying. Hopefully the next one (Assault) won't be scored the same.

Edit: Ubi-Johan says the refresh issue is being looked into. What that means I don't know.

I just wish I could get Classified Final Measure gloves to complete all three sets.

Took me a few days, but I've come back and got myself to level cap and got enough gear score to enter World Tier 3.

The game is very fun at endgame, especially with 1.7. I can see myself putting hours into it along with Destiny 2 (when it comes out) and WoW.

So they've tried fixing the leaderboards and I'm back in a reward tier now but the score is still incorrect, although I guess it's irrelevant as the score I know I should have isn't enough for the next tier.

I altered my PS4 share video settings to record upto an hour rather than the 30 minutes it was set to, 5 Lex runs with 30+ GE tokens off Larae each time 3900+, 10 LS caches with 85 each so 4750 and finally had afew minutes left for 3 open world bosses at 150 a pop so the minimum was 5200 for the hour. Nope, game says I'm still 3450 lol GJ!

Ugh, the leaderboards are offline, on account of the event ending. I hope by them fixing it I am not thrown out of Tier 1 (I already dropped down from Tier 2 because suddenly a lot of people got scores over 20000/30000). Maybe they're looking into people who hacked the shit out of it (one name with only different numbers was in the first three places last time I checked).

Either way, I rather would've seen Tiers done differently, like: This many accumulated points get you this amount of rewards, reach the next tier and you will receive something extra.

The leaderboard thing clearly doesn't work.

Yeah they deffo messed with it as today whilst my score hadn't changed and was still wrong, I was however back in the tier 1 category.

Hammered it briefly over lunch and got four superior caches, no ninja bike though - gutted. Until next time!

Today we have introduced changes to the global event leaderboards which ensures that more players are eligible to receive the newly introduced face masks as a reward for participating in the ongoing "Outbreak" global event.

Tier 1:
Place in the top 85% to 31% of the community
1 Global Event Classified Cache, 1 Mask

Tier 2:
Place in the top 30% to 11% of the community
2 Global Event Classified Caches, 2 Masks

Tier 3:
Place in the top 10% to 1% of the community
3 Global Event Classified Caches, 3 Masks

But the boards are still wrong lol

I did reasonable during the GE, got all classified items except a DeadEye backpack and made some decent builds. With the DeadEye 5 piece I'm able to output the same damage even though I've dropped my Reckless chest piece but obviously don't take the additional 10% incoming damage. The next GE will be the one I'm more interested in as I like all the gearsets coming in GE2.

As of last night you needed a score of 8700 just to be in Tier 2. My score finally updated but was still not right as it was 4400 placing me in Tier 1 yet my high was 6700+ with probably 8-9 runs of 5000+. It wouldn't have mattered anyways considering what was needed to move up to Tier 2.

I made one last hour long dash late last night and accrued 5200+ GE Credits. The second to last Superior Cache produced Classified Final Measure gloves giving me a full set of each available classified sets.

Which sets are available during the next Global Event?

Edit: Got my GE Reward caches and the mask is hideous.

BTW, the message you get about going to the rewards vendor was bugged as it said I was getting the Tier 3 rewards but I got Tier 1 Rewards.

Striker, Reclaimer and Sentry IIRC.

Been reading that everyone got the same tier message no matter what tier you actually ended up in lol not had chance to check the masks out yet but I'm pretty happy with my HE Tactician hat and Riker hat so switch between them two for the time being.

Massive seriously needs to give us an increased Loadout count and by increased I need 15 at minimum with 20 being the the safest option. I mean with classified sets being introduced I want to at least put one build together for each.

Completely agree. I also need double stash and back pack size lol have afew PVE and PVP builds now but the inventory is just getting messy with carrying so many items.

You're one of the cool kids with the Hunter-like mask. I couldn't unequip the Tier 1 mask reward fast enough once I put it on, yeesh.

I completed all the Vanity Collections and Classified Gear Sets so at least there's that.

I guess the mask is starting to grow on me a bit but I look more like a character from Metal Gear Solid rather than The Division.

Looking forward to getting the Classified Striker's and Reclaimer Gear Sets and whatever new Vanity Collections they have during the next Global Event.
