Recently installed a 1080ti and was looking for something new to play and saw this was on sale. I've always had the feeling this game is just The Division with a new coat of paint. Am I wrong, GAF? Is it worth the sale price on Steam?
Now the ultimate question. Is it worth it if I'll be primarily playing solo? I'm really not a multiplayer guy and none of my friends play this.I bought it full price with no regrets. But I've never played the Division and I had a buddy to play Wildlands with the whole way through. I recommend it, especially on sale.

Ah, ok. Cool, thanks. It's the setting and theme in this game that intrigues me more than anything. You can definitely have fun with it solo.
Just be prepared to be yelling at your AI teammates a lot. They're not the smartest but they're good at certain things.

Good to know. Got the gold pack on Steam because it's actually not a bad deal considering it's normally $100. I'll check it out when I get home.Nothing like the Division aside from the 'Tom Clancy' and some of the gun names/models. Weapons are appropriately lethal and all enemies can be killed with a small number of rounds. There is no real loot.
The core gameplay loop is:
- decide on an objective
- travel to objective
- recon objective
- execute in manner of your choosing until it all goes to shit
- improvise
- bug out

Or am I missing something here? Whats the hook?
The video made it looks like the tier level will, somehow, be player specific so different tiers can play together.
Current game tier is the average in the fireteam, including players under level 30.
The one best part of Wildlands for me, that lack of level scaling of damage and defense, is exactly what they're now adding to the game, and ostensibly as a gift to the hardcore players.Yep, seems like The Division
Are you talking about difficulty levels or tiers? I hadn't realised tiers were in the game, but I'm normally too busy dying to notice.
Had the weirdest AI bug I've seen in Wildlands or perhaps any game that I can recall.
There was a mission to escort an NPC to an airport, protecting him from enemies. At the start of a mission he gets into a car and tears off alone. You follow him in different vehicle.
The mission started and he ran to his car. He kept getting in and out of it, until finally he stood by the side and the car drove off without him.
It was bugged, but not buggy. It was swerving through traffic and avoiding enemies.
We chased the car, since we've had invisible player bugs before. But as we were chasing it, we failed the mission saying we were too far from the NPC.
The AI was in two places at once, both failing and fulfilling the mission objectives.

He made it into the car on my end (though it did start driving off without him):
PS: SAM sites adding insult to injury. Video stutters because I had just made a clip of Sparrow's amazing flying.
On my end you clipped the train or the ground with the right skid.
Hi guys, I tried to go coop with someone, I'm lvl 20 they're lvl 9. The issue is when I join them and enter an area it starts to auto complete his missions I've already done. Greying them out so he can't get the xp. On PS4, I was team leader... anything to be done about this? it's pretty shit design to auto complete his missions.
Is there a PvP mode coming to this?
Three friends and I just picked this game up to play through. We'd all played the beta, and I have one serious question that I can't seem to find any answer to here or by Google.
Guys.
Did they take out the ability to aim and shoot from car trunks?
Nope, but it's only possible from certain vehicles. There are big saloons that allow it, otherwise most don't, sadly.
So if I loved Future Soldier solo, is it a no brainer that I'll love this one? Are they fairly similar aside from the much larger world in this one?
