Is this the return of Les Grossman from Tropic Thunder?Looks like this character is frontal/top bald.
The comedy follows the most powerful man in the world who tries to prove he is humanity's savior before his own disaster destroys everything
I was just listening to the Demon Days album earlier.
Sounds interesting from a description I saw:
October '26 ....
It's absurd that they announce forthcoming movies a year ahead with the message "ONLY IN THEATERS" -- and two weeks after the film premiere they're already available for streaming...
Looks awesome.
You joke but a big budget Mission:Earth series could be really good. If thru can keep the satire and anti-psychology angle.Tom plays Lord Xenu on a mission to bury the Scientology dis-connectors with his Hubbard powered spade..I want to believe
Talent and effort. The two scenes in that teaser looked beautiful. How do people compose shots to look that good? I don't actually want to know.
Given the pedigree of the director, I could see this being the start of the Missile's next era of non-action actor man.
Talent and effort.
The best directors and cinematographers take time to light and compose a scene artistically.

^ Any frame from Barry Lyndon could hang on your wall as a painting.
He is very busy promoting his new film. Just a man out doing an honest days workMy man Statham must've been busy,

Stanley Kubrick's Barry Lyndon. What movie is this from? Looks like a movie scene from Monkey Islands bar.
"Cut, cut! Baby, I want REAL EMOTION from you! I want to feel the life stress of 3 months of pitiful existence as high nobility! The ennui, the jaded feeling of "oh look, yet another nanny here to feed me!". Can you do it baby, can you give me that? Alright, take 45!"Stanley Kubrick's Barry Lyndon.

Apparently Shelley Duvall had a full mental breakdown because of how demanding he was in The Shining, and Harvey Keitel stormed off the set of Eyes Wide Shut permanently and had to be recast."Cut, cut! I have no idea if Kubrick was loud on set but I belive he was notorious for a metric shitload of takes, right?

He had a particular vision you had to realize or he would keep working you, hundreds of takes if need be, to get it right. But the results speak for themselves.
Soft spoken guy outside of the director's chair though by all accounts.
Stanley Kubrick's Barry Lyndon.

I think a carefully constructed image can be part of telling a story properly. It's not just about looking pretty for it's own sake. Film is a visual medium and how something looks can convey the story to the audience just as much as dialogue. I don't want to go too in depth about the film specfically, although Barry Lyndon is excellent and you should check it out when you get a chance, but the two shots in the above gifs are communicating information about those characters and telling the story.Yup, looks very Kubrick-y: gorgeous to look at but barely any motion and very boring
The guy was clearly very talented, but all of his movies look very fake, imo. As if he was more preoccupied of looking good instead of telling a story properly.
I'm aware it's not a popular opinion tho
I'm curious about Digger. Inarritu is a great director, and Cruise has more range than his action movies usualy require. I would like to see him pulling off another Magnolia.
Oh I'm aware. I'm a huge fan of good cinematography.I think a carefully constructed image can be part of telling a story properly. It's not just about looking pretty for it's own sake. The film does have some more dynamic stuff going on in it, like some battles and fights. So it's not all long lingering shots. Like I said it's definitely worth checking out if you get a chance. I only saw it for the first time fairly recently and it lived up to the hype.Oh I'm aware. I'm a huge fan of good cinematography.
I just feel like he holds some shots for far too long sometimes. And most of the performances on his movies feel theatrical (?), exagerated.
I have only watched 2001/The Shining/Clockwork Orange tho. I have to watch the rest of his filmography.
All I kept thinking of reading that was:A: Bruh… you see that digger on 3rd street?
B: Yeah. That digger different.
A: Shiiiit, that digger be on the block like he got beef with the ground.
B: That digger got work ethic dawg.
A: Streets better put some respect on that digger's name.
B: On God, if dirt got ops, that digger's one of 'em.
A: He a real digger.
Edit: IF you managed to read all that without actually saying it, you stupid AF..![]()
