What we've seen from the leaks, they couldn't even deliver on that. Just look at the ps3 game, that one fucking deepthroats anything they will ever release.

Every company I've worked at the marketing dept claims the testers and focus groups say the new prototype thing is good too. They do this to try to rally all the internal staff their next product line is going to be gold. Then the product releases, flops hard and the Amazon avg reviews are like 2.2/5 with people saying it sucks and doesnt even work as intended. Thats funny. 8-12 months ago during all those fancy powerpoint presentations to staff, all your new products coming were supposed to be the best ever. Now customer actually buy it for money and it sucks balls. Nice grift there marketing manager. To your own coworkers too, never mind trying to hype up paying customers to open their wallets.

You think Henderson is talking to random playtesters? He has possibly the most sources in the industry. Which is why he is one of the most respected journalists. He wouldn't put his neck on the line unless he was highly confident of his sources

Second Son and all inFAMOUS games were made by Sucker Punch my dude, completely different developer, of course you enjoyed them, that IP was fire way before Marvel games even tried, back in those days, Activision were making semi-decent Spider-Man games and not much else from anyone else

He claims he only spoke to a few playtesters too. Looking fantastic can mean a great looking cut scene.
And as I said in my post above, anyone participating in free focus groups or prototype testing (doesnt matter if it's internal staff or external sign ups) can have totally different views compared to the paying public.

Henderson knows anything he says about Wolverine will become a story. He would only say this if he was confident that Wolverine is coming along nicely. I highly doubt he is only referring to graphic fidelity

their "play testers" were so dumb that Sony wanted all the puzzle spoiling NPC dialog in their recent games. and they are probably the reason Spider-Man 2 is designed like a color by numbers book. "press triangle! now press R2! here's a waypoint for this 100% linear pathway so you don't get lost!"
