I agree that the marketing for this has been pretty bad. But at the same time I'm also glad they haven't shown a lot of them (we have seen a few snippets in some of the video features) because I don't want them to be spoiled.

big budget cinematic games seem to have plateaued sales wise, possibly in decline. It's pretty hard to wow gamers with visuals this late into the console life cycle. Chances of success for this game are pretty low.

Personally, if the story gets raves like spec ops, I'll look into it. As it is now, I'm thinking uncharted clone, and I really don't want to sit through a 10 or 12 hour piece of shit story aimed at 14 year old boys and people who thought the The Avengers movie was narrative excellence.

They've released a 60 minute gameplay video. I've watched it like I have watched almost every other piece of media released for this game. What I meant is that they haven't shown a lot of the actual story tombs which is great because I want them to be a surprise.

We've seen a lot more than just that. We've also seen the beginning of the game

, which has been modified to include a small puzzle involving setting explosives on fire with a pulley system. We've seen all of what happens after that, where she finds the bow, kills the deer, fends off wolves, finds the makeshift, nearly gets raped, kills dudes through burning buildings, goes to the wolf den, gets the climbing axe, goes through an entire army of guys to the top of a radio tower.

Through this roughly two hours of footage we've seen almost nothing that could be called a tomb, no skillful platforming; just very basic traversal, scripted sequences, and way too much combat with a very poorly told narrative as the main focus.

So if it bombs we can expect Wada to defend it and sweep it under the rug to save his sorry ass and things to return as they were.
