Regarding Sony, is there a possibility to change GDC presentation program. I mean, maybe PS5 reveal was scheduled for Feb., but because corona it is postponed, and later Sony decide to change GDC presentation program and to include PS5 specs in that?

The timing of both events is too tight to be a coincidence.

Uh well it is entirely possible it IS in fact little more than a coincidence. Microsoft clearly planned yesterday out since they had so many people involved. If anyone is doing something reactionary it would be Sony in this case, but the reality is that Sony and Microsoft planned to do stuff at GDC which would be this week. Microsoft just appear to have made theirs into more of a production. Thats all.

How do you figure Microsoft was being reactionary? They lined up multiple youtubers as well as digital foundry to come and tear the console apart. They then reached out to AMD and Seagate to release their embargo on talking publicly about working with them. I am not certain of much about these consoles, but I am pretty damned certain Microsoft did not do what they did yesterday as a "reaction" to Sony, lol.

Dude are you that damn dense? Do you not think it is even remotely possibly, if not likely, Microsoft intended to reveal specs of a console to the developers who it will matter to most? Microsoft have not been on the defensive for literally anything related to the Xbox One X at this point. They're simply doing their thing.

Something you and every other console war fool really need to understand. Microsoft and Sony are not in some technological cold war where they are putting out information 1 day earlier than the other just to get some headlines. If that were the case then Sony really sucks at this game because they've done nothing but reveal a logo to this point. Microsoft have a rollout plan for the Series X and since GDC was canceled they probably called up everyone and got them to come to Redmond to make the videos you saw yesterday. That is all. There is no corporate espionage going on. There is no panicked board room meetings where Phil Spencer is freaking out that they heard through the grapevine Sony is going to announce X,Y and Z. You fools that keep saying this sort of stuff are just ridiculous.

A statement sent to GamesIndustry.biz by Sony Interactive Entertainment read: "We have made the difficult decision to cancel our participation in Game Developers Conference due to increasing concerns related to COVID-19 (also known as coronavirus). We felt this was the best option as the situation related to the virus and global travel restrictions are changing daily. We are disappointed to cancel our participation, but the health and safety of our global workforce is our highest concern. We look forward to participating in GDC in the future."

They are cancellering their participation, so that means that there is nothing going to be shown. They never said that they are going to have a digital event or digital video instead. They never said that.

They only said CANCEL. Full stop. So how would anyone, including Microsoft, know that they are going to show anything during GDC timeline? They said they cancelled everything and never mentioned that they are going to have it digitally instead.

And here is how Microsoft did it:

Microsoft's Game Stack team announced that it would also withdraw from the event, citing "an abundance of caution" after reviewing guidance from global health authorities. "The health and safety of players, developers, employees, and our partners around the world is our top priority," the team announced in a blog post.
