-I don't take too much issue with McGillis sugar coating some praise for the girl. I gather he's not attracted to her, just nice enough to put on a caring face. That said having boobs/butt be her notice of age difference is about the lease tactful (most anime) way you could go about it.

I agree. We are exaggerating the creepy stuff for comedic effect but it was actually kinda nice what he did. The show just isn't doing a good enough job making the correct feelings clear.
