Adult Swim should have gotten involved with the production, especially considering how solid Inuyasha had been for them over the years.

Final Act aired in the fall of 2009 which probably means it entered production in the Winter months of that year (Jan/Feb). Adult Swim was still treating Saturday nights as garbage so I'm not surprised. Space Dandy simulcast probably wouldn't have happened if Toonami, and people in the building at William Street who give a shit about anime, hadn't come back into "power".
