G Gundam has the advantage of being an actual good show

Absolutely. I just hope the Gundam ratings are good enough going forward to get that one in HD in the next two years.

The only show I'd like to see more than Mobile Fighter G Gundam is Gundam Build Fighters because while I will own G Gundam HD one day putting GBF on TOONAMI means it finally got a real dub.

Nostalgia doesn't actually mean anything when it comes to how well it does unless you're DBZ tbh. Gundam has done pretty poorly on nu-toonami, and I don't see an old ass show with 50 episodes holding peoples attention.

Plus it seems bad

Gonna go see In This Corner of the World next Saturday.

Really been looking forward to seeing it.
Would like to see it, but it seems my theater chain isn't showing it, let alone in a place close to me.

Hell, despite the fact we're a college town & I'm SURE there'd be plenty of nostalgia to make people want to see it, I bet we won't even get that new Pokemon movie coming in Nov.

Out of curiosity, are you going by the Funi site listings for the movie? Because if you are, I don't think it's up to date.

Try googling showings of the film, I didn't think there was a showing near me till I did.

Speaking of old ass mecha shows, is Escaflowne actually good? Thinking of checking it out soon. All I've heard about it is that it's pretty and has nice music, but I don't think I've ever seen anything about the story or characters.

And how is the new dub?

I think I checked Fandango & my theater chain's website, which doesn't even have the film listed anywhere.

According to Funimation, they're not even showing it in my state. Guess I'll wait for it to hit streaming or home release.

It's an okay show. The new dub is a big improvement and the visuals have also been touched up to an acceptable level.

The first FT movie was the most anime ass movie I've ever seen. Safe, non-canon™ as hell, with the same sort of plot most spinoff movies have.

Even tho I kinda enjoy Fairy Tail, at least the early arcs, the movie wasn't good.

Pretty, as you would expect a movie to be, but a plot that basically had no connection to the characters.

Yes it's good watch it. Van isn't the strongest protagonist but he's surrounded by a lot of good characters with excellent villains. It delves into mideval politics and has some good fight sequences. It gets a little out there in the middle though but it's a solid watch.

What is Scrapped Princess about? I'm fighting the urge to load up my Canadian VA filled Escaflowne DVD's right now.

Nobody won in V Gundam, but the characters are good enough and Uso has probably the highest gundam protag kill count.
It's essential a jrpg escort story
Basically the princess abandoned by her family as an infant because that were was destiny to destroy world and is on the run with her two foster siblings. One who roles as a warrior other a mage

It's pretty good adventures anime from what I've seen

Seems to be distributed by Nozomi Entertainment. I'm not hearing anything about a dub being included for the time being.

It's Fire Emblem meets
the Matrix.

These high school kids are not afraid enough of this sword wielding boy screaming about a dragon.

It's already been dubbed. Crispin Freeman directed it.

Playing the Crash Bandicoot Trilogy has me thinking on game difficulty a bit, and it reminded me of a particular internet comic I've always hated. Not that I spend time thinking on internet comics or anything (Might sound like I'm psychoanalyzing penny-arcade comics or some shit.), but this comic is just weird to me for a variety of reasons.

Now flog me as a casual or whatever, but most games being easy to consume and not terribly challenging to the masses is a good thing. In fact, ironically the reason why the Souls series gain any traction at all is due to most games being like that.

FUCKING RIGHT INTO MY VEINS!

I keep forgetting Shoji Kawamori worked on Escaflowne. It's probably the best non OG Macross or Macross Frontier thing he's worked on that I can think of.
