Neither anime is really that great, the original series looks like an 80's anime that was made in the late 90's and the new movies looks like an early 00's anime that was made in the early 2010's. For how popular and good Berserk is it's crazy how poor both of it's anime adaptations are, and sad how neither can get past the same arc of the story. I would kill for an Ultimate Berserk/Berserk Brotherhood that was hand drawn in HD that covers the entire story... just let the mangaka finish the story first (in 20 years...)

The only way animated Berserk post-Eclipse could happen is through movies or OVAs. Half the stuff that happens would NOT fly on TV.
Keep in mind, Jojo airs at midnight and still gets censored.

Yeah, I had never seen Berserk before but I had always heard it was super popular. I guess quality in story transcends all. Which also explains why Togashi can get away with the stuff he gets away with.

Berserk's manga started in the year 1990 and is still ongoing and only released 335 chapters in 24 years. I will admit the first several chapters were each 100 pages long, but still even giving that the benefit of the doubt (your average weekly series is 20 pages, average monthly is 40) you're still only going to be able to get another 20-30ish chapters out of that.

That said Berserk is amazing, it and Hunter x Hunter are in my top 5 ongoing manga at number 2 and number 3 behind only One Piece. Normally they rank lower due to the fact they're always on hiatus but as we've gotten new chapters of both in the past few months WOO

The new anime VO still says J.Geil. It's only the subs that translate it to Centerfold. Not sure why Crunchyroll translates it like that when the characters are clearly saying J.Geil.

That's fine, I'm totally okay with them making Berserk into an OVA series ala Ultimate Hellsing so they can put in all the uncensored violence, nudity, and sex the series deserves

It's amazing that the Bleach anime has anything at times based on this theory.

Not that that art is bad in Bleach, it isn't. It's very unhelpful at times at depicting action though.

Original Naruto soundtrack is easily better overall. Shippuden's has a few good tracks (moreso in later arcs) but there's a lot that's too long-winded or simply unfitting.

Eh, I like the soundtrack though it's not near as good as Pt 1 Naruto. In shippuden there are some great tracks though although from what I have seen of episodes, they can often seem out of place.

I think his character is just extremely exaggerated like everything else in the show. I don't recall ever seeing anything that suggested he had magical powers, or anything like that.
