B) This is some good shonen fighting. Good choreography and using off model drawings to really enhance the action <3 <3
Also, I feel this is like the 35423523th time a CP9 member took an attack with their Iron Body that they could have easily dodged and are worse off for it.

They operate differently from his other abilities as they're basically "modes" that he puts his body into. These abilities use the rubber attributes of the inner workings of his body to augment and enhance his physical form.
Gear 2 takes advantage of his elastic veins and arteries.
Gear 3 takes advantage of his rubber bones.
And so on.

This episode just shows how versatile and unique you can make shounen powers and power ups and still have them make sense. Only person in the universe that could do something like supercharging his body by increasing his BP to an insane level or blowing air into his bones like a balloon and then transferring that to any limb in his body.
