Who wants to rewatch the IBO episode with me?

I missed it earlier.

Unfortunately I didn't record it. Between watching that and UFC also forgetting Toonami was airing earlier than I expected, I missed the first 10 minutes. I would've love to DVR it and watch it sometime this week.

They really did nail the lyrics, but they had to considering how much it's used throughout the series after this. There's a couple more songs I'm interested in how they translate, Funi should be there soon as well.
I watched the dub so I didn't know it was called "Bink's Sake" instead of Bink's Brew in the original Japanese. "Brew"'s English lyrics are much better, Imo.

WELL, YEAH.

He barely knows who you are.

They really shouldn't have cut out some details from the manga as to why she was interested in Shinichi

"Brew" is an accurate translate. "Sake" is just the generic term for non-specific alcoholic beverages, in addition to being the name for the style of rice wines.

Yep, plus it totally works. God knows how long they spent trying to figure out a way to not only translate the song properly but to be sure that they kept the rhyme scheme.

I know. I just like that they took liberties to make it rhyme rather than just doing a literal translation and still have it be faithful.

Especially when we hear the later verses and the verse about turning into a skeleton. :)

Going back to One Piece, I do believe Brook/Ian Sinclair's singing voice would've also destroyed those pesky aliens in the "Mars Attacks!" movie.
