I've never seen SAO before this, but I'm willing to bet that the big bad is that "sterben." Also, I like how Japanese pop culture continues to murder languages other than Japanese. To those who only speak English, it doesn't stop with English: French is often obliterated, and in this case, German. No one would probably ever name their avatar "sterben." Maybe something like "Todbringer" or "Toeter" or something, but never just the word that means "to die" or "dying." I'm not fluent in German, but I know enough to know that it sounds really dumb.
