As one of the biggest One Piece fans in the thread.... I completely agree.
Until Toei creates a One Piece Kai, or teams up with another studio to remake it from the start, then it's basically downhill from the point we stopped.

I think it's a culture thing. Due to excessive overwork, dads are rarely around.

You know, replaying Max Payne 3 is reminding me of Uncharted 4, and not in a good way.

I don't care how well put together the cutscenes are, if your game takes control away from me constantly, then chances are you're not drawing me in. Sometimes it's okay, but generally I appreciate a game more when there isn't a huge noticeable divide between story and gameplay. Both Max Payne 3 and Uncharted 4 leave me with this feeling that there's not enough game in these games. That I'm constantly going at the game's pace and not setting my own.

I can't agree. Not if we're getting stuff this much worse than what we would have gotten if it had continued.

Lupin may be here now but that Tokyo Gutter Snatch show is still on the air.

Fair point. They really should have picked something better than Tokyo Ghoul Anime. I know they were in a hurry since word only just came down but Funi has a pretty big backlog of shows they could run.

Speaking of, I saw Volume 1 of the TG manga at the library. Gave it a quick skim (I have read the manga elsewhere) and I now recall a reason the manga is superior. Kaneki very rarely cries. Recall the scene in the first episode where he was bawling over the idea of eating humans to Touka? In the manga, he wasn't crying at all. He was scared and sweating but he wasn't crying. I think that was part of Pierrot's attempt to make it Shonen.

I think it works for Uncharted a lot more because I tend to approach those games specifically for the story

It was definitely an issue for Max Payne 3 though

The OST for the first season of AoT has a track titled "&#20984;&#12305;&#9792;&#12305;&#9794;&#12305;&#8592;&#24040;&#20154;", which Sawano indicates is meant to be pronounced "Kyojin Shinkou"/"Advance of the Titans", but is actually a pictogram of a series of walls with a titan (&#24040;&#20154;) approaching them. Seriously.

According to Sawano, his song titles don't mean anything deep and that you shouldn't think about it too hard, and he also thinks it's hilarious that people get mad about it.

*watches first Lupin episode* Maaan this show is a blast to watch. Even the animation is awesome.

Shame about the opening and ending. Damn licensing.

I'll point out that ratings have been way down ever since One Piece was cut.



One Piece's absence has little to nothing to do with the state of the ratings, but that doesn't make it any less true!

You want the real answer to that, way too many people on Twitter. Let us just say this news has not gone down the best. That being said the number I see cited is 500,000 which is quite the raise from Gundam Unicorn, which I think is more important.
