I saw a review of it, but not actually seen it. Recall it was one of the earlier anime to be on Adult Swim. Seems it was originally going to be on Toonami but turned out to be a little too extreme so it went to AS.

Also, to talk about the podcast, I remember one year for April Fools (it was 2006), they aired some anime like Ghost in the Shell, but inserted fart sounds. I recall one scene where a guy in a wheelchair-esque machine was going up the stairs & each "step" = fart sound.

It was an ugly show with a penchant for brutal violence. I remember it pulling off some decent character development, and having a decent dub for its time tho.

They also did that for Fullmetal Alchemist (first anime), adding farts to the second episode. In particular, the part where Ed animates the statues and had them walk around had booming farts; and the part where they broadcast Father Cornello's admission of guilt to the entire town instead had him let out a big one.

It'll be interesting if Toonami does anything since technically, while April Fools 2017 is on a Saturday, Toonami doesn't really air until Sunday night/morning (yes, I know, but as a night shift worker, I think like this because some nights, I drive to work on, for example, Friday, but don't start until it hits midnight & I clock in for Saturday).

Adult Swim basically considers each night's programming as for that <weekday night>. e.g. Toonami airs on Saturday night (even though its actually Sunday morning.)
