Yeah, Batou's eyes were always weird. My brother and I used to call them quarter eyes when we were kids and we'd put quarters in our eyes and say we were Batou.

given the reactions to the election in this thread.. I am going to go a bit off topic (though it already is with GITS talk)
and recommend people give last week tonight with john oliver's final episode of the season a watch.
they put the full episode up uncensored on youtube (though some areas might need to locate mirrors)
on topic with ghost in the shell.
I think in general it looks good for what it is... but i am very disappointed that they seem to be taking a lot from the movie. which doesn't have a very good or interesting story (great art for the time but horrible basis for an american movie). instead of focusing more on the tv series setting which has a much better story. (and with cyberterrorism becoming much more known i think the laughing man could have appealed to american audiences more)

Some Stuff I want to talk about after Hunter x Hunter this week

First up, Killuas Backpack, which might be my favorite absurd overdesign in anime costume history.
Seriously- WHY DOES IT HAVE ALL THOSE EXTRA STRAPS?!? How hard is this thing to put on? I cant deny its fashionable- this arc is filled with Killua fashion statements (spoilers!), but I just cant stop thinking about how impractical it is any time you need to get into that bag, and Id probably strangle myself by accident if I tried wearing that.
Speaking of Fashion, I also want to shout out the uniforms for the workers at Heaven's Arena. Classy in both male and female designs!
Next up, lets talk about my new Waifu, Girl with Big Glasses, giant Gold Cross, and a MONSTER VACCUM CLEANER
The fact that she hangs out with Mummy from the canceled Punch Out sequel helps. Actually, Im just kidding, there is another Waifu that has stolen my heart

OK, I get that people might have thought that Kurapika was a girl early on, and that I think in the Brazil dub of the original anime they actually made Kurapika a girl, but holy hell, they basically went full moe glamor shots with these images of him from the opening and the credits. Kurapika is my Waifu, and I will have no one tell me anything to the contrary!

Celebration Cinema has it in Rivertown & Lansing. Otherwise, Funimation hasn't put up one of those "see what theaters will have it!" things on their site.

So ToonamiGAF, are you guys getting Pokemon Sun or Moon? Have them both preordered but only want to keep one of them, so I'm curious as to what version people are getting.

Nah, I've long lost interest in Pokemon after playing Silver, Gold, AND Crystal all at the same time as a kid, which I think just made me burnt out. I still try some of the spin-off stuff, but the main series just isn't for me.
It didn't help when I had Blue as a kid, I had around 130-ish Pokemon but then a friend wanted to play it, so I let him play my copy while I went off to do something else, then returned to hear "oh, uh, sorry, I didn't know there was only one save slot".
...........HE WAS NEVER HEARD FROM OR SEEN EVER AGAIN.......maybe...
I'm sure Level 5 would love to do it.
It's TPCi that are the sticklers. They're the reason Pokemon barely appears in crossover material with Nintendo.
I wouldn't be surprised if we see Yo-kai Watch characters in other Nintendo properties before a Pokemon crossover.
Then again, Pokemon never did crossover with Digimon. 20+ years and that still hasn't happened.
