It couldn't be just ANY alchemist. It only worked with Mustang because Mustang had studied human transmutation. They were hoping he'd do it on his own to save Hawkeye, but in the end Father had to sacrifice Pride to force Mustang to open the gate.

I always joke that in these eps, they're all wearing Create-A soldier outfits from Syphon Filter... just as Drake from R.O.D reminds me of such soldiers.
Randomly, I miss Sherry Lynn and Lia Sargent VA work in modern anime and animation. Though I did notice Sherry Lynn did some voicework somewhere in The Lorax... and Lia Sargent pretty much has to be voicing the base computer in Young Justice, totally "Dorothy Waynewright" style...

Bebop is one of those shows you don't want to end.
I didn't like the "Sympathy for the Devil" kid the first time through, but I liked that ep much more on repeat viewings.
Why they gotta kill the girls, too?
"That woman" Is voiced by "The Major", eh? Such a weird role for her, I like it
Love how Jet is so casual with "Where have I seen here!" even in the middle of a gunfight.

Mary Elizabeth McGlynn also voices Mischa in Eureka 7, so i'm used to hearing her as an older lady. Also, these guys are PETA to the extreme.
