It's kinda nice how, being one of Yosho's wives, she's also basically the Yosho of this show. The awkwardly "older" person who still gets to play with everyone in the childish ways they enjoy, but yet still get respected and noted for it.

Airi summed up Seina's purpose pretty well in this episode; if everyone is gunning for him (first for his bad luck, now because he's pissed off the universes biggest pirate), then everyone else gets to live and operate better.

Once again, this, in many ways, is pretty similiar to OVA Tenchi. Sudden blood and violence is pretty similiar to how things in OVA turned out when Kagato appeared on the scene. A 13 ep GXP might have had a pretty decent pacing and balance, really...
