Yeah. Courage was a great character, especially when he interacted with others. He was fun to watch. The show had this charm to it as well and was so different from the type of cartoons I watched. I think that was also a thing that kept me watching it.

The reason The Tower of Dr. Zalost was so memorable was that its' premise was so simple and wacky, but goddamned if it didn't have a fucking awesome haunting repeating melody. That's one of the reasons Courage was beyond amazing, great writing combined with fantastic setting music.

The same with the "It's a Gerbil's World" ep.
