bo bo bo etc was a case of a show that relied a lot on Japanese culture and language for its humor (along with the bizarreness) which didn't translate too well to the localization (it maybe could have but what we got didn't iirc)

Kill Yu-Gi-Oh
Kill Yu-Gi-Oh - had some awesome moments, but eventually was stale plodding and dumb, really really dumb. also barely even remember it being on toonami so thats another strike since i cant accept kids wb stuff as ever being a part of the toonami crew.
Save Zoids New Century - I actually liked both zoids shows and it doesnt matter which one is better , I enjoyed this lighter hearted one about zoids being a battle sport.

Kill: The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest-Another show that attempted CGI in the 90s, I just didn't like it that much. I don't really like it one way or the other, really.
Kill: Tenchi Universe- I don't like Tenchi Muyo in general. Just never really watched more than a few episodes of it and I don't remember liking what I saw.

I enjoyed watching Yu-Gi-Oh at first, but once the Egyptain God monsters got introduced. I lost interest. It wasn't literally after they were introduced, but somewhere during the time after their introduction.
I like Bobobo. I re-watched it a couple of days ago. While they do tend to go a little too far with some jokes sometimes, you just learn to accept it. It has its golden moments, and then there bad moments. The golden moments out way the bad.
EDIT: I had a few gifs here, but I'm not sure what the rules are on gifs. So I'll just post vids of how great Bobobo is instead.

The major issue with this event is that there are just too many choices and most of them are unheard of / no one gives a shit, so to keep it exciting we're aiming for something we actually recognize. I therefore recommend you keep the total count of shows limited for that thread, or increase how many shows get voted off each round, at least initially.

Rule #1 of watching Bobobo, NEVER take it so seriously. Just sit back and enjoy the comedy. Bobobo mostly relies on randomness and the stupidity of Bobobo and his friends. Like my examples above, Denbo just got hit with an attack and her father from the heavens (who isn't even real) showed up to give her a good luck charm. It makes fun of shounen anime because in a regular shounen the father would drop down some magic scarf or something, instead he gives Denbo nunchucks. Which is random.
Also, a running joke in Bobobo is that his fist of the nose hair attacks sometimes aren't his actual nose hair attacks. They're just random attacks he thought of on the fly. Like his random, Fist of the Nose Hair March of the 300 High School Girls Attack above.
Personally, I prefer comedy over action any day. So Bobobo was always appealing to me on Toonami more then the action shows.

Sniping shows at the very end of a round has ruined this thread. Some of you may say "Well, Shadow is just mad that we aren't following his opinions on what shows should win." This is not true. I am right, but that isn't the problem. The problem is that this is a game about getting your preferred show as far as you can. Some of you may say that this is exactly how the game has gone. Shows with a lot of support have been eliminated early by fans of different shows so as to get rid of serious competition. But the problem is this: a small group of players have essentially gained the ability to vote out whatever they want whenever they want, and the players who would want to save those shows have zero ability to do so.
Some of you may say that I should change the rules to prevent sniping. This is not possible. If I disallow editing posts after a certain time, they will simply not post until 11:59. If I disallow editing posts period, the same thing happens, the ability of players to save shows is hampered even further, and no one would want to vote until the last second because of the inability to react to developments in the thread.
No, the problem isn't even the ability to edit posts: the problem, like many people figured out earlier in the thread, but I ignored, is the fact that votes don't carry over between rounds. I didn't think that was a problem back when a lot more people were voting and popular shows weren't getting eliminated at the last second by as little as 3 fucking people. But now, obviously, the fatal flaw in the current rules has been exposed. These rules collapsed into dust as soon as some players began voting in a non-rational manner.
So basically, I'm going to have this thread closed in a little while, and I'll let Absolution run his 2000's Cartoon Survivor thread. After that, this thread will return. I didn't put all that work in just for this thread to get torpedoed by trolls. However, when it does return, it will be with cumulative voting and much more shows being eliminated in the early rounds due to the large show list.
