I love this scene from Death Note. I like it when one's elaborate plan finally comes to fruition, and this "just as planned" scene was great for that.

And this scene from episode 13 of Paranoia Agent. When detective Keiichi Ikari comes to term with reality and decides to abandon his delusion. Very cathartic moment.

Oh, for a third, I guess I enjoyed Future Diary's introduction to the killing game with all of the different participants, that was fun; though I mostly want to make note of it rather than it actually being one of the most powerful for me.

Ending fight scene in macross plus.

Ending scene of nassica and the valley of the wind.

Too many scenes to count in voices of a distant star.

Positron cannon in eva rebuild.

The puppy scene elfen lied.

My favourite Death Note scene is the chips one. The audacity to just be munching on snacks while killing people and hiding a TV in the packet.

Hanada Shonen-shi

that series was like an emotional rollercoaster. I could mention 3 scenes just from this one series
Episode with the cat especially

Night on the Galactic Railroad
the ending is not easily forgotten. Very powerful

The ending of the movie "Foxes of Chirunup Island"
Heartbraking.

1. Beyond the river of time - Gunbuster
Just watch Gunbuster and if the ending doesn't get you I will eat a tiny hat.

2. The Door Scene - Nadia: Secret of the Blue Water
Kind of a retake of a trick Anno tried in Gunbuster but it's one of the scenes that will haunt you for some time.

3. I will kill you - End of Evangelion
Pure despair.

Couple of scenes in naruto got to me.

Scene in naruto, once he defeats pain, the montage showing how the village's attitude towards him changed.

Narutos meeting with his mother.

And then pretty much all of Grave of the fireflies 😑

Grave of the fireflies, the ending

JoJo's Bizarre Adventures part 3: Stardust Crusaders:
Iggy's
heroic sacrifice and death. FUCK THAT

Maison Ikkoku, episode 30, when Godai hears about the news

Fist of the North Star,
Shu's death

Fist of the North Star 2, when
Ahn
dies and Aska checks his dead body, giving Ken his father's gloves. Ken's reaction is both hearthwrenching and adrenalinic

Video Girl Ai, the ending (which only covers half of the manga)

Conan grieving his grandfather by lifting and crushing boulders in Mirai Shounen Conan.

Sheryl's death in Ideon.

Hunter x Hunter Chimera Ant Arc spoiler. Knov's
breakdown after infiltrating the King's palace.
. The voice acting was spectacular.

Hmm, surprised no one has mentioned Simon and Kamina's fated scene and Simon's abrupt coming of age. Then again Gurren Lagann has so many motivational and emotionally rousing scenes that it's hard to just settle on one. I'd also mention Spike's scene at the end of Cowboy Bebop or when Domon held Master Asia in his arms in G Gundam following their final clash. Goku going Super Saiyan 1 and 3 were my favorite scenes in Dragon Ball Z and no one else's transformations even compare to Goku or when Goku fought Jeice, Recoome and Burter. Those were excellent scenes.

Heh, everything posted from HxH in this thread but this:
Gon's fight with Hisoka at Heaven's Area was also pretty great.

...is from the Chimera Arc. Maybe 'cause it's the most recent, but there are a ton more scenes form other arcs that were powerful!

Here's one: Gon vs. The Bomber, when Gon
sacrifices his hand to land a blow on his opponent.
Shit was messed up.

1. Trigun -
Wolfwood's death
2. Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood - Nina and Alexander
spliced together through alchemy.
3. Fate Zero -
Rider's fight with Gilgamesh, and his speech before he dies.

DBZ -
First time Goku went Super Saiyan
One Piece -
Ace's death
Berserk -
When Guts is forced to watch the only person he cares about being raped.

Luffy loses his crew 1 by 1 in a very desperate situation. Episode 403-405 if you're interested. Hit me that yeah, the Straw Hats actually aren't very powerful at all in the grand scheme of things.

#1 for me has to be the Avatar Season 2 Episode 9 scene:

zuko-mountain-3.gif

"You’ve always thrown everything you could at me! Well I can take it! And now I can give it back! Come on! Strike me! You’ve never held back before!"

the ending scene of Grave of the Fireflies when "Home Sweet Home" played...

When
Mayuri gets shot and killed
in Steins;Gate. I jumped out of my seat and said WTF?!!! It gets crazy from that point.

Another one from Death note, when
Naomi is tricked into writing her own name.

One Piece

This is the scene that I was very much looking forward to watching in the anime when I read it in the manga. Very emotional and just solidifies how awesome the strawhats are.

Also when robin says she wants to live, tears were shed. Still one of the best episodes of the anime to date.

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Death of teresa
(Claymore)

Oh man I love that scene so much gives me goosebumps everytime.

These are all amazing and belong on my list. Except I read the one piece scene since I can't stand the voice acting.
