Movie is worth a watch just to see Sid getting bitch slapped by Takatora. Well, not really, it's shit. But it gives an explicit scene linking each Overlord with Takatora/Micchy/Kaito, so if that was your headcanon, you may want to watch it. Or if you must see Minato transforming with crossed arms, it's badass (blink and you'll miss it though). Oh, and Kachidoki's flags have flames and are able to summon winds for whatever reason.

Just caught up with what's going on with Ninninger. I'm actually kind of impressed. I like the return of a male yellow (considering the last two ninja teams had one) and the first-ever Pink ninja senshi. I also dig the design of Shurikenjin, with Red's mech sitting in a throne made by the others to create the robo. Pretty cool.
I'm guessing the inevitable Ninninger vs. Toqger will also feature appearances by the Hurricanger and Kakuranger, like the Kyoryuger team-up had with the other dinosaur sentai?

Toqger vs Kyoryuger has had the lowest first week for a Sentai Vs movie, so, yes, they might want to throw some extras in the next one.
Actually, I'm pretty sure that's the wrong font, since there were a ton of upper case "i" writtten as lower case "L". It's from a dude who adds effects to O-T/Aesir subs, called BananaArms. Hardly the best dialogue (and untranslated jingles, so live with shit like "BUDOU ARMS"), but way more serviceable than TVN.
It's up on nyaa but I seriously advise against watching it.
I even mentioned it last week, but people forget easily around these parts.
Isn't the goofy Kaito pretty similar to the actor's real life personality? I've seen him on youtube he was all like "Cakes! Yeah *squee* *giggle*"

This movie was pretty dumb (in both good and bad ways). Nothing else I can really add. It's a typical summer Rider movie that doesn't really add anything meaningful to the plot, but is otherwise a fun romp and reminds you about certain parts of a show that you liked.

Uh... huh. I'm chalking that one up to SF not really caring about Dairanger at this point and not faulting them for one line in a quick promo on the Zyuranger set. To clarify: I don't have issues with Chi-Power. That's a legitimate translation of kiryoku. It's translating "tenshin" as "transformation" that I take issue with. Just using "transformation" for tenshin seems to really generalize it, if that makes sense?
The kanji used for tenshin is 転身, and while it has a similar meaning to the more common henshin (変身, which refers to a change or metamorphosis of the body), the fact is that tenshin means something closer to a shift, or a switch/conversion of some sort. The most common meaning for it is when describing a job turnover. It's a shift. The fact they chose this in the show over the more common henshin/transformation I believe is significant, so the translation not using an appropriate word that matches this intentional choice doesn't seem true to the original.
Then again, they didn't translate Dairanger's title either, so it's probably also a rights thing.

But now the after the 8th minute, Sharivan still doesn't make much sense, I feel like I'm missing something in between - I know of the Gokaiger vs Gavan movie, but I don't know where it fits in the storyline.

Gokaiger vs Gavan is the best Space Sheriff movie, but it's not really relevant to the later movies other than to bring the character back. The Next Generation stuff doesn't really begin until the terrible Gavan movie, SHTZ later fleshes out the universe and then Sharivan and Shaider simply take place in it.
From the 15 minutes i've seen so far of it, comparing with NuGavan (which I saw yesterday) and SHTZ (which I don't remember fuck all), I can agree.
edit: fuck man, I really need to watch Gokaiger.

Do it! Gokaiger resurrected my love for Toku. Really loved how varied the episodes were.

Last sentai I watched was Flashman, back in the 90's. Then Kyoryuger as it was being broadcasted, and now I'm just wasting my time with ToQger.
I want to watch Go-Busters and Gokaiger though, and i've been saying that for over a year.
You missed a lot of good shows, if I had to pick one ro recommend it would be Gekiranger, a great serialized story and incredible human faced villains instead of rubber suits make it stand out imo.
Well, that's a fine taste if I've ever seen one. And that Flashman OP man.

Eh, I still liked it better than most Rider/Sentai movies.
While I adore "Power Rangers Dino Charge |OT| Mighty dinos roar. Dino-Charged for more." I know it's going to be lost among the Gen One-ers in GAF. I really have no idea what a good name would be.
As for #2, it will be tough to find a scene like that, since the best morphed scenes have Gold or the Spirit Rangers in-them, and all the other good ones have the unmorphed actors doing it.

It was the only TV-N series I watched and enjoyed. I would love to see this come back.

It's a shame Dino Charge probably won't get near this cool.
Man, going back to that 2013 thread really shows how bad Saban messed up with SMF. Everyone was really positive about MF at first then the vitriol came.
I mean that's the thing. Even Sentai fans wants Power Rangers to be good. Being able to visit the same motif twice with a great cast of characters and story? Awesome!
It's just that Saban has whiffed hard. Samurai was decent, but they could've done more and adapted the scripts to work a bit better with the actors at hand. Megaforce had the same problem and then for some reason, Saban didn't write ahead. They could've seeded the changes in Noah and Jake, knowing that Super Megaforce was coming. They could've focused a bit more on the seasons that we did see, instead of random morphs from seasons we didn't. But Saban didn't care. At all.
I'm looking forward to Dino Charge. It's an adaptation of Kyoryuger, but it also stands on its own, so it'll get judged by both metrics.

New Super Hero Taisen GP scan out. Seems like the Blade Riders are gonna play a somewhat big role this time around (probably about the same length/importance as Faiz's subplot last year). Seems like Blade's been captured by Shocker and Leangle's evil/working with Shocker(?) while Tachibana teams up with Minami Kotaro and Gou to save him? Meanwhile, Yuuto is investigating Kamen Rider Sango, as he isn't supposed to exist. Seems interesting.
