Next event for me:

Markus is my favourite DJ and I've still never seen him.

Missed out one time thanks to being out of the country, then the next I didn't have enough money to afford the festival ticket price ($140) and I haven't heard any 2013 rumblings of Australian touring.

Really want to see him in a club though.


I have a few nice shows coming up. Obviously A&B, Andrew Bayer and Norin & Rad tomorrow night, then in Feb I have Indecent Noise & Arctic Moon, then later in Feb John O'Callaghan, Sied van Riel & Sneijder.

The venue for #ASOT600NYC is such a joke. Not only were the floor tickets sold out in seconds, but there are seats to purchase on the floor for $144. And seating on the upper level for around $40-$80. Seats! I remember getting ASOT floor tickets @ Roseland Ballroom for $50. Fuck Made Event, fuck MSG and fuck Armin.

Yeah, the cost of EDM events is getting absurd. Not to mention, ASOT600NYC sold out in minutes anyways... with the US edm popularity boom, promoters are so quick to overcharge the shit out of everything. I remember back a few years ago, Made would charge $50 at most to see Armin, and getting tickets were never a problem (I'd pretty much go see Armin every time he came to the city, since my g/f at the time liked him too and he was my #2 favorite DJ).

Above & Beyond were pretty good, but they messed with a few of their classic songs to make them all farty and heavy and they didn't play On A Good Day. Unfortunately their best set for me is from 2010 and every one since then has been progressively worse.

Andrew Bayer was fucking amazing though, great song selection and some superb mixing! He had some sound issues though, decks cut out for 1-2 seconds about 4 times =\

I saw Ferry Corsten live back in December 2011 here in Japan while on vacation, and I came back in October where I've been living since, and the only trance-related event that's been through since Was Sander van Doorn... in Novermber 2012.

Meanwhile looking at all the DJs that have rolled through my hometown since (Vancouver) and its pretty depressing. You'd think Tokyo would be a given on any Asian tour.

I have DI.fm premium so I always rip ASOT, GDJB and the ASOT birthday events so I have 256k copies.

I'm in Australia so I record the shows early Friday morning and then can listen to them on the way to work 15-20 minutes after they finish.

Plus I record the big birthday events for the trance tracklist website Cuenation.

frifox and I normally do the DI.fm Streamrip releases on Cuenation.

We always try to go for the full events, so a single mp3 with a cue that has 100 or so tracks for every set. Might be a good idea to post both that and the individual sets from URTZ as some people don't want a giant 10 hour mp3.
