It's such a given that soundwave will win, though. Hell, I'd even settle for Dinobot and I don't like him at all.

Even though I named my cat after Jazz and have a mad love for Soundwave and his cassettes, I voted Grimlock for the pure fact that he's sheer awesome.
 
Man this is tough. Why can't they do both Soundwave AND Grimlock?! Fuck it, Soundwave is awesome. Mu'fucka shoots CASSETTE DECEPTICONS out of his CHEST.
 
Shockwave deserves it for starring on the coolest comic book cover in Transformers history.

I voted for Dinobot. Jazz would have been my #2 pick with Grimlock #3.

Someone is clearly unfamiliar with Dinobot. He would have gotten my vote if Soundwave hadn't been on the list.

And I'd also guess not having seen the Beast Wars episode "Code of Honor" from Season 2.

Edit: I'm actually kind of shocked Starscream didn't make it to this list, unless I'm overestimating his fanbase.
 
Urg, get that beast wars shit away from the list. It would be an utter disgrace for anything but G1 to be in any hall of fame.

Jazz, Soundwave or Grimlock would be fine. Shockwave is cool but no where near as famous.

And where's Starscream? Surely he's next after the first four.

Name one G1 character that has more personality than any one of the Beast Wars characters appearing in season 2 and onwards.

Considering G1 is fueled by absolutely nothing other than nostalgia, I'd have to strongly disagree.

Beast Wars had some fucking quality writing for a syndicated children's television show behind it at least.

Figueroa's artwork is always excellent but the Dreamweave stuff was primarily based on the cartoon, in terms of characterisation, with only a few subtle nods to the Marvel comics.

The Marvel UK comic was selling almost a million copies a week at its height and I remember as a kid tuning into the cartoon (which started maybe a year later in the UK) and thinking it was very childish in comparison.

I don't know how characters like Grimlock and Shockwave got to be popular if you'd only watched the cartoon as they're bumbling idiots in that (in fact most characters are).

I voted for Shockwave... mostly because I just want to see him get a new figure. Hopefully they'll make a hall of fame line of figures.
 
Witholding my vote, as neither Wheeljack nor Ironhyde were up for consideration.

None of these characters should be first-ballot hall of famers.
