I'm sure the framerate will be locked at 60 in both versions, it pretty much has to. So either the PS4 version will have some extra visual flair, or they will just both look the same (which would mean the PS4 version is really being held back).

Well, the developer has confirmed the PS4 version runs at 1080p. They have not said that for the XB1 version.
So I'm gonna guess the XB1 version comes in at 900p, and possibly 720p. Hopefully it's the higher of the two.

Just bought the PS4 digital for $40. DLC on the 360 ones was awesome so I'm game for more!
I really hope they have more 'middle ground' levels though. I could not get past some of the harder ones for the life of me.
EDIT: Damn, will have to buy some more controllers for 4 player local action

Yeah, a resolution difference is definitely possible.
A resolution difference may actually get me to switch to PS4 for this franchise. Really hope it leaks somewhere because I'd like to play on day one.

Maybe it's an idea to just set up a Google document with all the GAF Uplay names in it so people can add each other and at least have some people to compete with.

Have the XBO disc copy preordered, but I may cancel and go digital instead (had money sitting in my account for ages so I suppose now is as good a time as any to spend it). Hopefully the XB1/PS4 versions are identical, would prefer to use the XBO controller but not if it means a worse experience.

You missed the one that really got the ball rolling for the series, Trials 2 SE on PC. Those were good times. Then PC players got abandoned.

Sucks about the PC release date. I'll probably plug in my 360 to get an early taste. I'm going to need some UPlay and possibly xbl friends/challengers.
Trials is one of the few games I'm really really really good at. I was able to platinum even the hardest stock tracks. And some of the user-created stuff is fantastic. Looking forward to more of a great thing. Looks like nothing but improvements with Fusion. Really one of the most consistent franchises ever.

Buy a second pad for when you smash your existing one into the floor.
Game is very relaxing for me. Just turn on some music, grab a drink and try to get platinum on some tracks.

I think I only played like 1/3 of Evolution. Really need to get back to that one before I pick up Fusion.

I asked the Trials people on Twitter if the boxed copy comes with a disc, or a code to download the game, as I was concerned it might just be a code. They responded within minutes that the game was on a disc.
So I responded and asked if they could tell us what resolution the XB1 version ran at, as they had already confirmed the PS4 version ran at 1080p. It's been almost 2 hours and still no response. Just an FYI for those of us who are wondering. Probably best to expect the worst, as there is no other reason they would dodge that question.
They're offering that on the PC version only.

So it seems like the physical version comes out of the 15th rather than the 16th.
There's been no mention of that by Ubisoft or Red Lynx but every major retailer, in the US at least, has it listed to come out the 15th.
Really considering preordering the physical if it's going to get here a day earlier. Just hope it isn't some kind of error and I end up getting the game later in the day on the 16th when I could have already had it downloaded.

I just cancelled my retail order and preordered the digital version off the PSN. I figure half the value of the box is the season pass code which is digital anyway, plus this way my lazy ass won't have to get off the couch to switch discs.

Big fan of the Trials games.. glad they are going to be on more platforms right away. Going X1 disc version this time simply because I have gamers unlocked at Best Buy so I will get this game for 31 bucks.
No reason why this game wont be 1080 on the X1.. so hope it is but if not I will deal.

I will buy this game. I will swear at my TV just under my breath at first, but as my blood pressure rises, the volume of the screams will become increasingly louder, until they are calmed by a soothing adult beverage. Can't wait!

I'm really looking forward to this, but somewhat cautiously so.
My two big concerns are the lack of online MP (was awesome in Evo!) and more that due to a fragmented userbase, the community creations won't be as great and as numerous as they were in Evo. I haven't looked into it enough, but I hope they are doing some kind of cross-platform centralized server for community creations so that no platform misses out on great creations.
But I'll likely just end up buying the PS4 version digitally the second it's available. Maybe after waiting for confirmation that it isn't busted if I can manage it. My love for Trials is too strong.
I would recommend any other version over the PC for you. Apparently the game really stutters on PC if it isn't able to constantly push 60 FPS. You're not going to be pushing 60 FPS, and likely there will be other issues that arise from not meeting the minimum specs, like long loads to restart or poor control response.
That seems like a bad time waiting to happen.
