Anyone play this? How was it.

I'm finally getting around to Octopath Traveller right now. I'm about 35 hours in or so, and I think I might get too much of a good thing moving to this one next, but I dunno. Maybe I'll try it. Will be playing on Switch 2, though.

It's a really good SRPG if you like the genre and I easily recommend it, especially with a discount.

Best game Square has put out since Nier Automata.

Just be aware there's a lot of dialogue, specially early on. Be prepared for the first few hours to be light on actual gameplay.
But the story is engaging, the battles are fun and challenging, and it has some of the most impactful decision making in any RPG I've played.

$60 MSRP (excluding the 'launch' day discount).

What the fuck is wrong with SE thinking this 3 year late port needs to be full price?

Didn't realize this wasn't on consoles

Well worth playing if you haven't already, great strategy RPG
Yea there was a point where Square was making things exclusive in really random ways. Makes me wonder if Square was going around with their finished games and seeing if any of the companies wanted to pay extra to keep it exclusive. It just made no sense the way they were doing it.

Always find it a little funny how whenever games go from Nintendo exclusive to other platforms, they usually come along with a nice discount. Where as if a game comes to a Nintendo consoles for the first time, it's full price, not a dime cheaper, and in some cases might be more expensive. Companies love to say "fuck you" to Nintendo customers.

It will be recognized as a classic in few years, It's incredibly good. But you must like political stories with lots of dialogue.

I wish this was getting a physical release on PlayStation but im guessing its gonna be like Octopath 1 where it's digital only

I wasn't sure what to think of this. 30% off might be worth it though.
Incredible game. Well worth playing. But it's been out for years at this point. I got it on Steam for $24 a while back. It'll be more heavily discounted, and probably by the end of the year.

Really fun sjrpg. Beat the switch version years ago. Definitely recommend it.

Amazing game! I bought day one on my original Switch and it was worth every penny.

Best strategy game since Fire Emblem Three Houses, I definitely recommend it.

Well you guys have sold it to me.

Sounds too good to miss it so I'll buy it tomorrow.

Port games from Switch to other platforms is cheaper than the opposite. Also you are Nintendo users, you have the base "fuck you" from Nintendo

I seriously forgot I bought this for my Quest 3. I only put an hour into it months and months ago, I need to jump back in and give it time to breath.

I swear Square Enix have a bunch of stupid fucking bozos working there.

Game would sell much more if it released together on the PS4 and ps5 alongside the switch release.

Bloody fucking retards working there. And now shadow dropping this out of nowhere after 3 fucking years.

Copped both this game and FF Tactics but I stlll can't help but feel the decision makers working there are fucking retards.

It's weird how everyone has turned on Square about turned based games. While they continue to make several turn based games.
I haven't turned on them, I truly do want them to succeed. I'm merely paraphrasing things the company has directly said in the past.

Eh, I think the distinction people make here is pretty clear. They want mainline FF games using turn-based combat, not smaller budget HD-2D stuff (which I like) being most of what gets it.

Or even just making a new FF Tactics from scratch instead of just a remaster. I think this game gets close to that, but the story and voice-acting seem to disappoint based on user reviews.

It's a solid strategy RPG with a lot of story. I would even say that it's a visual novel with strategy RPG stuff in-between. The story is solid enough to get you to care about the decisions it asks you to make (imho). Mechanically, it's closer to FF Tactics (or Vandal Hearts!) than Fire Emblem. The classes of each character are fixed, though (but you can diversify them by leveling up and getting them skills).

This is a really fantastic game, but also also it's borderline visual novel. I think more time is spent in dialogue than gameplay, but if you're the type that can stomach or enjoy that you're in for a treat. Got it for Switch and don't regret it at all. Not sure I'm willing to double dip but for first timers it's a great choice

Sweet, this game is SO GOOD buy it now!

I recommend this as a must play.

This is big news for people who actually like srpg.

If you like the genre pick this up. I wish Square Enix would patch it for PSVR2. That would be the ONLY thing to get me back on VR again. Meta ported this over to their headset and it's like the coolest VR game ever. It's a TTRPG in VR.

cireza cireza Star Ocean The Second Story R is also wonderful.
