Raw drew a 3.8 rating, down from the recent range of 3.9-4.1 in recent weeks. The show was doing well, building from a 3.8 opening quarter hour rating to three straight 4.0 ratings, but then it crashed around the time of the John Cena music video and numerous commercial breaks. It dropped as low as a 3.5 rating, then grew only to a 3.8 overrun rating for Shawn Michaels vs. Edge, which is bad.

The first hour average was 1.0 higher than the second hour. On Raw, Triple H walked off the show and said he would be missed. Although it was just a storyline scripted line, he may have bragging rights to it being true today.

Wow, they've really run the whole business into the ground. A 3.8? Nitro got like a 3.5 in late 1999, against huge RAW ratings.

Please unfind Jesus and come back Vince Russo!!!!!

First tragedy, then farce.
meh, they are between superstars right now.. the masses need someone who is "cool" to root for.. but they keep trying to retread what worked in the past (yeah, Lex Lugor worked out real well as Hogan v. 2.0, Cena will probably fair a little better as little Stevie Austin)...

Christian is their best chance at doing so, IMO.. he is funny, and a pretty original charachter.... if the guy can get a face pop versus Flair next week we'll know for sure. If only Shelton could cut a promo.. that guy is so fucking awesome in the ring.. they should probably turn him heel, because its easier to be a generic heel than a generic face (see Edge).

awesome wrestlers but crappy mic guys like benoit and Sheldon need smack talking managers. WWE seems to have stopped using managers entirely :(

indeed.. the problem is mic guys = ratings, and as a general rule mic guys = shitty wrestlers that are so over people will pop fora fucking elbow drop as a finisher. Either that or generic Gen X looking people throwing themselves off really big ladders into piles of tables.

Yeah, it's a fucking crime what they're doing(or rather NOT doing) with Jericho, who is awesome both on the mic and in the ring. Dumb fuckers.

The only reason I started watching back then was for the extreme matches. Some of the stunts they did were amazing. If they go back to emulating ECW I will go back to being a loyal viewer. The problem is it would also require Mick Foley.
