Im telling ya China and India are huge.

I bet TNA and WWE could have a smaller wrestling organization making content for each country with there own rosters and storylines.

Plus then they should ship a few WWE guys there every few months as a special guest to spice things up+ shipping people from there over to the US shows.

The biggest problem would probably be having the high ups in WWE not seeing at as just another developmental group but as a completely separate revenue stream then the normal WWE programming.

Plus I dont think there are many Chinese wrestlers.... But yeah like I said... Stunt men should do.

There is already a Chinese wrestling federation called New Beijing Pro Wrestling. It's been around for thousands of years and boasts a roster of over a million fighters. They made the news recently when they were sold to a
counterfeit
card game company.

In reality it is a Chinese themed New Japan parody made by DDT.

Is this a real thing and if so how do I throw my money at it

This RKK love is pretty funny. It's basically like loving an underground hipster rock band and calling it the best out there. It's a way for people to rip on Raw while trying to come off as smarky. The RKK crowd is awesome; the promotion itself is nothing compared to Raw. Sorry. It's 90% crowd, 10% promotion.

So it gets a 90% A, that's so much better than WWE or TNA.

RKK is the shit, watch it if you haven't. Like bootaaay says, its simplicity is its strong point. It's about ring work, most of their dudes are very green, but a nice clean slate and strong booking goes a long way.

Right fellowWrasslegaffers, here is a riddle wrapped in a puzzle wrapped in an enigma:

  • General public don't perceive it as a sport
  • Serious fans class it as a sport
  • TNA and WWE management perceive it as entertainment
  • Indie promotions class it as a sport
  • Broadcast companies perceive it as a entertainment rather than a sport.

So doesn't this make Vince right that it is Sports entertainment, rather than pro wrestling and trying to make it seem real.

i dont listen to this guy, but is he always all over the place when he talks?

im gonna need to see some numbers, because im finding it hard that noone put over as many wrestlers as the rock.

His point was about top guys on the level of Hogan and Austin. The only two he could come up with were Terry Funk and Ric Flair.

He is right though, any current employees complaining about The Rock coming in just don't get it.

Fantastic

So, my mom is watching the Oscar red carpet, and up comes Clooney and Stacy. He talks about how she needed an army to get ready, while he just took 10 min. How lucky is this bitch? Spend years shaking your ass at WWE with no wrestling ability, then she shakes her ass in some BS dancing competition, and now she justifies her existence by sucking off George Clooney, lol.

I doubt Otunga is upset considering he is still getting T.V. time and is going to be in a Johnny Ace vs. Teddy feud.

Oh yeah. Shes getting something like 30-40K just to show up to events now

the rock is indirectly paying their paychecks by showing up, they should be grateful.

Seriously.

Rock is gonna propel Wrestlemania bigger this year than in previous years, and the money from that helps keep the WWE afloat. Whoever is complaining should sack up and say how they feel, or lay their egg and get over it.

Dave Meltzer talks about the recent "backstage heat" on The Rock:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_JXNcbpmRs

Meltzer hits the nail on the head, imo.

'How many guys did Triple H put over on the level of Shane Helms?'

No. 1) Rock was on his way out during his Helms feud
No. 2) Trips put over Shelton Benjamin multiple times
No. 3) Undertaker indirectly put over Matt Hardy twice
No. 4)Undertaker put over Jeff Hardy

Meltzer's serious boner for Rock makes it funny to see him complain. I also love him comparing the amount of people Flair and Funk put over to The Rock. 'Probably as much as The Rock. Probably!' like, what the fuck, man. You could only name one person that Rock put over. I'm not for the people whining about The Rock, but Rock and Austin barely put anyone over. I think Trips even put Angle over before both of them

These are probably the guys that are upset about The Rock

MIZ
Alex Riley
Otunga
Swagger
Kofi
Bourne
Ezekiel
Heath Slater
Jinder Mahal
Johnny Curtis
Gabriel

This also reminds me of the Shawn Michaels interview where he talks about the handshaking thing skip to about 7 min in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqlfmGwCLy0

Actually it most likely isnt the miz but cm punk and orton, orton complains the most about the rock nearly all the time same with cm punk complaining rock didn't shake his hand

Kurt Angle? He was way over by the time he was wrestling Triple H. In fact he became over pretty quickly. The only guy I can see as a valid performer is Shelton, and they fucked that up to hell. Not exactly Triple H's fault, but that time (2003-2005) was so bad on RAW and that's primarily due to Triple being forced own our throat and pushing himself as some top level performer. Talented before injuries took over, but enough is enough.

Rock had some things with Jeff Hardy also before he left. Fact is other than Austin, he was the biggest star they've had since Hogan. When he's in matches, no matter if it was with Lesnar, Jericho, Angle (three men he put over numerous times), whoever, the match's magnitude became massive. You do not get that same scenario with just anybody, especially with somebody like Triple H.

Random quiestion but who are the current big Indie guys?

I remember years ago when I was actually following them that guys like Punk, Danielson, Low Ki. and Samoa Joe who where kind of the guys who clearly stud out.

Anyone on that level these days? Its been a long time since someone said I HAD to watch this epic ROH match.

I don't think there's many on the level that Joe/Ki/Danielson/Punk were, back in the day - guys like Davey Richards are seemingly always in high demand, but his style is seriously grating to some and perfectly exemplifies the always-present indy wrestling problem of wrestlers just doing TOO much. Pretty much every one of the current crop of indie wrestlers is certainly guilty of this and no one really has that 'star' factor, at least in my opinion. Except The Briscoe Brothers, of course.

Kevin Steen is another big exception, as he's been pretty much outstanding in every promotion he's wrestled for over the past two or so years. El Generico as well is now getting a lot of recognition for the fact that he's been one of the most consistent wrestlers on the indy scene for years and years. Eddie Kingston is another who I think is at the top of his game and certainly one of the top guys in indy wrestling, same goes for Sami Callihan, who just needs a big, memorable feud to push him over the edge.

Also, everyone should be watching Willie Mack. The dude is just seriously awesome in PWG and has progressed so much in the past year or so. His matches with guys like Hero, Richards and Strong have been EPIC.

The only thing I take pride in my hometown for is that Sami Callihan is from here. I'll always remember him as "that one kid who had a weird obsession with bodybuilding". :lol

who's that guy?

Seriously? Stop playing WWE '12 and watch the news.

He's presidential hopeful and favorite to win the Republican nomination, Mitt Romney.

Cena could be the vice president and make everyone sing 'My time is now' as the new national anthem.
