dream is rocking back and forth crying while hearing this news.

Who is that?

dream must shit the bed every time he sees Daniel Bryan quarter hours and realizes they are the highest on the show and that Daniel Bryan is, in fact, a DRAW. He's also now the most over heel on either brand based off crowd response. A report from someone in attendance said they only had 4 of the Daniel Bryan shirts in stock and they were all medium, so they are kinda screwing the guy over on merch.

Watched that after Raw Rock promo. It's just so obvious that Cena is never going to get anything close to a 50/50 reaction against him. The Rock had the entire audience chant a little boy's name. That's the kind of stuff only he could pull off.

ODB & Eric Young defeated Gail Kim & Madison Rayne to become the new TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions. Yes, Eric Young is now holding a women's title. After the match, Young asked ODB to marry him and she said yes. Young jumped into ODB's arms and she carried him off.

Good -
Eric Young and ODB are a hilarious tandem, and this just gives them more material to work with. Or are we worried that the prestige of the women's tag titles has been corrupted? Because that is a significant concern.

I don't even know what the deal with trying to bring down Bryan is. The ultimate indie darling and one of the best wrestlers in the world is the WWE's World Champion and is, in fact, doing quite well with it.

Shouldn't any wrestling fan be happy with that?

YES! YES ! YES! YES! YES!

Just been revisiting the Money in the Bank build up from last year and came across this promo that I must have watched about 100 times in the build up to the match:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaMHbrEfUc4

It was probably my favourite thing that WWE put out last year by miles and one of the best hype packages ever.

One thing that I did notice is that when Punk is talking about what is a pipebomb in his hands being just a microphone in others (around 1:55), The Rock's voice can be heard and 'Sellouts like Dwayne' flashes on the screen (this was subsequently removed from the same promo that ran on the night of the PPV).

I was thinking that it was strange for any official WWE video to call The Rock a sellout if they didn't want him portrayed that way. I'm probably giving them far too much credit, but do you think that they have been planning to portray The Rock like this all along? The cheesy birthday party, Raw gets Rocked, the over the top promo at Survivor Series, and the way that he has looked to hog the spotlight when appearing with Cena?

They know that we (smarks/IWC for want of a better word) hate nothing more than pandering and self promotion. They know that literally the only way for us to like Cena is for us to see him as the lesser of two evils. Making Cena seem fresh and raw as opposed to Rock seeming like a bloated parody of his former self is the most effective way to do this.

I just watched the Rock's comeback promo from last year and, yes, it is full of catchphrases but when he talks about Cena he is on point, direct and awesome (the youtube promo he did is even better). I truly cannot believe that for something that has been planned for months The Rock would suddenly become so toothless and cheesy if it wasn't by design.

This may be a really subtle version of Hollywood Rock, heel to the IWC only as the mainstream fans will continue to lap this shit up, whilst Cena is elevated in our eyes.

Reading this thread and from my own reaction to the feud so far, it appears to be working.

i wanna get excited about jericho punk

but cant. they made jericho look like a joke. mondays promo was decent but its too similar to the rock cena's old vs new thing

In memory, I think we should all list our top 3 favorite Triple H matches! :D

1) Triple H vs Chris Jericho - 2000 Fully Loaded - Last Man Standing Match

2) Triple H vs Mick Foley - 2000 Royal Rumble - Street Fight

3) Triple H vs The Rock- 1998 Summerslam- Ladder match

3. Hell in a Cell vs Cactus Jack

2. 3 stages of hell vs Austin

1. Street Fight vs Cactus Jack

He really was good before the quad injury. He did come across as a monstrous individual to me. He shouldn't be a face. Ever.

Edit - forgot the last man standing match with Y2J. Great match.

That match where he tore his Quad the first time was pretty amazing. Austin/HHH vs Benoit/Jericho. The crowd was unreal.

Yeah it was great. Him and Austin together were really good. I seem to remember them destroying some diva and it being brutal. Lita I think?

thanks to hbk and holly

2- Elimination chamber - Summer slam 03
one with goldberg. First time ever i was happy to see someone getting buried, fuck you greenberg

1) Triple H vs Chris Jericho - 2000 Fully Loaded - Last Man Standing Match

2) Triple H vs Mick Foley - 2000 Royal Rumble - Street Fight

3) HHH vs Kurt Angle Royal Rumble
Fixed for my favorite, HHH was one of the best before the quad. The Two men power trip getting cut short was devastating.

1. HHH vs The Rock (Backlash 2000) & HHH vs The Rock Iron Man Match (Judgement Day 2000)
I can't pick between these two so i'm going with both, both matches are just pure fun with glorious clusterfuck finales done right, fantastic fan reactions as well.

2. HHH vs HBK vs Chris Benoit (WM20)
So damn good, ever so slightly tarnished for me by the actions of Mr Benoit but it's still a great moment and the match never lets up.

3. HHH vs Cactus Jack Street Fight (Royal Rumble 2000)
Trips was on top of his game (hahaha) back in 2000, this match was enjoyably brutal topped off with a Pedigree into thumbtacks, still not the nastiest thing seen at that event though, what with the Mae Young bit...

You know what I could easily keep going, HHH has some pretty great matches under his belt. Allow me to trumpet the HHH vs Kane Chain Match, oh yes! imagine my disappointment when the Lesnar and Taker biker chain match turned out to be a stupid "on a pole" match instead.

1. HHH/Austin - 3 Stages of Hell - NWO 2001

2. HHH/Jericho - Fully Loaded 2000

3. HHH/Foley - Royal Rumble 2000

I can easily do a top 10, 15, maybe even 20 ****+ matches

"Bryan Alvarez ‏ @bryanalvarez
Crowd chanting YES every time Bryan throws strike"

Oh man this is great.
Was last night's show in Canada or something?

The CHIKARA angle looks to be furthered this weekend at the iPPV as ROH has "invited" CHIKARA stars to visit the event with CHIKARA Grand Champion Eddie Kingston already announcing that he would be at the Hammerstein Ballroom this weekend.

Eddie Kingston in the building! Someone's getting Backfisted to the future!

LOL @ reading WWE scriped Cena to get the upperhand in promoing. Way to go WWE, you have to tone down The Rock so he's not too harsh on Cena.

Remember that time when Triple H went over CM Punk at the height of his popularity for no reason?

That was a good match too.
