Here's how to sell better Ray Tracing:
"Dear user, the ray tracing in PS5 is nearly unusable. It has too much of a performance penalty. While it was technically possible on the console, it wasn't very usable and is really in tech demo territory for practical usage. We have now created a new Playstation 5, the PS5 Pro that will actually let you use raytracing while you play without as much of a performance penalty using little dedicated hardware nodes we stuck all over. It's a generation leap in lighting. The best part!? We already put token Ray Tracing in all your games(knowing you likely wouldn't be able to use it on the vanilla ps5) so we don't have to do much to get them running on the Pro. It's a win all around. That doesn't even count the new PSSR. The hardware also runs cooler and quieter so it should last longer and the graphics are better. Best console to play GTAVI(is it coming to PC at launch? Hmm?). You are going to shit when you see this thing."

Why better RT with asterik? Isn't 2x to 4x better? As usual they look at the 45% better rendering mention but completely discard the up to 4x better RT written in the same document. 10 mins technical dive is all that's needed this isn't really for the consumer except to say new pro console is coming. This is for the more enthusiasts who need to hear nerd terms to sell. I'd expect maybe 1-2 games showcases to show the differences in ray tracing etc, and from here out some game videos and visuals to flow until release.TGS and Sony showcases

I think Rebirth shouldn't be too difficult, as the 60fps mode was already smooth (as was the 30fps) it was just the IQ/resolution that they couldn't improve and it was like 1080p-1440p using FSR1. But PSSR can resolve that as can the extra power and take it to something closer to 4k.

They haven't the slightest clue, like us, how it's gonna be. Yet they're already with the hows. Not a single technical detail.
Wait for it, when it ends, they will reexplain everything Mark Cerny said in maybes, we'll see, etc just as they did with Road To PS5.
I'm not clairvoyant, they're just that transparent to me and many others here.

At this point the ps5 pro has a severe identity crisis. Without new games it has no selling feature.
So who is this for? Do i have to replay my old games to get something out of it?
Its almost as the whole industry already moved on and they just want to pass on to us all this stuff they came up with years ago.
