There was an episode of Beast Wars that didn't go past the script stage ("Dark Glass" I think). It was about Rattrap attempting to recover Dinobot's memory and place it into Dinobot II's body, only to find out it doesn't work, and that his friend was lost forever. Staff on the show initially said it was a bit too grim, then later backed on their stance saying it wasn't action packed enough, and even calling into question the quality of the script. It did serve a piece to the story that did continue on, as in the series finale Dinobot II does appear to gain his memory back even if just for a short moment.

yeah, I've heard of that one... and it would've been awesome to see it on TV.

Dinobot... :(

I don't really know of any banned episodes as most shows aren't often repeated over here anyway, but Episode 2 of the first season of 'Spooks' caused a lot of complaints due to the fact that they
killed off the female main character by having the baddie shove her head into a fat fryer
:lol

I was watching Dog Bites Man on Netflix today. For those that don't know/haven't heard of it, the show is a about an incompetent team of news casters (co-starring Zach Galifianakis) who go around and mess with real people who have no clue they are being filmed as part of a comedy show. It's similar in style to the Ali-G show, so if you've seen that, you really need to check this out because it's fucking hilarious.

Sadly, the show only lasted 9 episodes. I suppose this was in part due to the nonsensical title of the show, and the fact that it wasn't made explicitly clear until episode 5 that only the main news cast was in on the script.

I was confused by this too, but then I happened upon an explanation.

Apparently, it's actually a clever title, although the effect is kind of lost if no one understands the reference.

I'm also pretty sure I saw it on TV originally.

You did, it was removed from syndication though. I think it's now back on but with some stuff edited out, like the shot of the fucked up fetus (which looked like a roast turkey turned inside out, it was seriously gross).

Yeah, it was definitely a shocking episode, but a damn good one too.
