I don't know. The delay somehow make it better. If there was no lag, maybe advancing in the game wouldn't be so hard and this wouldn't be as hilarious. Part of what makes this so funny is that people type their input without knowing exactly what their input will do.

Pretty sure you don't get anymore from NPCs. Recent Pokemon games seem to hold your hand a lot more.
