Twitch Plays Pokemon: Dig, Dig for Victory!

I'm actually starting to like the anarchy/democracy thing although chat spam is the main downfall. However we will be able to do safari zone and victory road so finishing the game is now possible. Which is a good development at least.

Although Anarchy for everywhere else, our hivemind can move us in a general direction fine, we just lack precision

Guys, stop saying Drowzee has no moves. There's a house where a guy just hands Psychic to you. Go to the house, get the TM, use it and hope to god we don't use it. If we lose it, great, we'll have to either grind with Drowzee and Digrat or catch something and be forced to use the PC.

And release our only Pokemon that stands any chance at this point?

The only reason Pidgeot is currently winning battles is because he is overleveled. Levels are transitory. We can level up our other pokemon with better potential, like Drowzee or our future Lapras. Pidgeot has middling-at-best stats and an extremely poor movepool. Pidgeot learns no better moves than he currently has naturally. And worst of all he hogs all the exp, so we're stuck with his mediocrity. Tying all of our hopes to someone who's best move is Quick Attack is pointless.

Lame. There will be no more major exciting accomplishments because every time we encounter any difficulty, democracy will be voted and it will be swiftly overcome.

Now it's just like we're actually all playing a single player game at once, agreeing over every individual, sensible movement. Which is signicantly more boring.

None of this democracy/maze shit would have happened if moon stone was around. Fools throwing away wisdom for faith

We shall not box our Pidgeot! We'd be nothing without him! Where Helix deemed Abby to be unworthy (Bide? Tchhhhh), Pidgeot has been raised above the rabble! Born a humble Pidgey, he defeated all odds including evolving TWICE in spite of the trolls that would B him down!

That corner will be kind of tricky to turn in democracy mode. Voters just voting as if there was no delay will probably prevent that from happening.

1) Do you really expect this to happen in Anarchy mode? I mean, really?
I consider that far more doable than the ledge.

The only things that are reasonable for democracy are the victory road ledge, and safari zone.

Unfortunately every other obstacle that could be done with anarchy will now be done with democracy.

Grinding will only happen once people see it's needed by losing a bunch. Until then the Pidgeot faith will be strong.
This is how something like Dragon Quest V would probably work better if that doesn't have quirks like the NES games did for input. Random encounters and in the initial part of the game you get full restores with 0 penalty for party wipes. Combined with Twitch anarchy and it'd be ripe for hitting level 99 before you even clear the second dungeon.

They will learn, just as they have in the past. After much prayer and deep self discovery, I have decided that Helix must have willed democracy for the worst dark times. We switch to it fast and abandon it just as fast when the need arises. Helix has not turned us down the wrong path yet, I trust in it.

Democracy is so dull though, half the fun is watching the chaos unravel.

So what if it's impossible? Nobody thought they'd get this far in Anarchy mode anyway.

The streamer should just make it like it used to be, the "storyline-distraction" has died down after Flareon was released. We can go back to our old ways

Can someone please explain what is Anarchy and Democracy mode?

Democracy: Every 20 seconds a vote is cast. Whichever command gets the most votes wins.

Anarchy: Normalcy, the way things were done before where users put in a command and that command goes in the queue

Anarchy is the old way. Democracy is the voting method you see happening right now.

To swing the tides, enter anarchy or democracy in twitch chat. Once the dark bar swings far enough to the light bar, you will see the shift.
