I've lost count of the amount of threads where people aren't given the proper context and always assume the worst only to later learn that their outrage was unfounded. How many more threads like this before people start catching on that maybe they should be more prudent before passing such strong judgment?
Ask yourself honestly, did you really believe that Twitter was trying to silence her because they're secretly alt-right or something?
In what world would anyone think for even a second that was a plan that had any chance of working?
The same world where Bungie, a video games developer, were clearly behind, involved in and supporting white supremacy/Neo-Nazism because of an armour design... Wait, that didn't end up as "100% on purpose" as some were saying prior to an investigation. Or like that Dove advert which was edited to be shorter so that everyone would react before knowing what the full ad was.
The right gets lampooned for being idiotic and responding to fake news/information before all the facts, but the left does its own good job of "I know 100% what this is" at times as well.
This was clearly to do with the phone number and has now been resolved and the account is active again. Debates about Twitters worth as a platform and all the other shit it is doing wrong, do not lead into a conspiracy theory here that they took down Rose McGowan's account to protect rapists/paedophiles and sexual abusers. That is what some of the responses in here said/implied on the first few pages.
Twitter is garbage with its moderation, no lies detected, but conspiracy theories are the kryptonite of the internet.
